Texas Pulled Pork Ingredients:
- Pork roast
- Vegetable oil
- Barbecue sauce
- Apple cider vinegar
- Chicken broth
- Brown sugar
- Mustard
- Worcestershire sauce
- Chili powder
- Onion
- Garlic
How to make Pulled Pork in the Slow Cooker:
Start by adding one teaspoon of vegetable oil to the bottom of your slow cooker. Add your pork roast (you may have to trim a little fat as this shoulder roast can be a fattier cut).
In a mixing bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients except the buns. Mix well and pour over your roast.
Cover and cook on low 10-12 hours or on high 5-6 hours. The roast should shred easily.
Serve over toasted buns and enjoy!
Texas Pulled Pork Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 lb boneless pork shoulder roast
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tbsp prepared yellow mustard
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 hamburger buns
Instructions
- Add vegetable oil to bottom of slow cooker and place pork roast inside.
- Mix together barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, chicken broth, brown sugar, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, onion, and garlic; pour over roast.
- Cover, and cook on low 10-12 hours or on high 5-6 hours until roast shreds easily.
- Serve over toasted hamburger buns.
