Reagan's bedroom paint color: Sherwin Williams Romance ~ see more on her bedroom and the before and after picture HERE
For years I've gotten oodles and oodles of questions about alllllllll the things we have around our house ~ which in 100% honestly, is a little weird to me (but I also know how difficult it can be to find just the right thing, so there are a few bloggers I follow regular for ideas on what to buy when I'm looking for fresh home ideas. I hope this helps you easily find a few things you're lookin for!)
Let me preface this by saying though. . . I am not a decorator. And I didn't decorate to post these pictures.Â
My photographer was here for our upcoming fall product launch (I can't even wait to show you all the things!), and the house was clean 🙂 so I asked her to snap a few pictures of our rooms. I do love finding a few things though and am so incredibly thankful for our home, so while it's not perfect, I sure do like it a whole lot. 🙂
The smartest thing my husband every encouraged us to do way back when we were dreaming big was to always focus primarily on updating our home (not our stuff!) and it's only been in the last 2-3 years that we've purchased a few pieces of quality furniture to live in the space we have.
(Twenty five years of penny pinching has been worth it, but we truly have only seen that in the last few years ~ read more of our story right over HERE).
So just in case you're still reading and happen to be curious ~ here are the paint colors, pieces of furniture, and products I love the most these days. 🙂
KITCHEN
- island paint color: Sherwin Williams Foggy Day
- wall paint color: Sherwin Williams Pure White
Recipe Stand for my Home Planner
Mrs. Meyer's Cleaning Supplies
Bosch Dishwasher we just recently had this installed and I LOVE IT! Best money I've ever spent on an appliance
Marble countertops
We recently had new countertops and a backsplash put in, primarily because I use them every day for video and photography and white countertops photograph beautifully. We chose marble against our installers advice, but so far have loved them. (It's similar in price to granite and looks more natural than other quartz. James fell in love with it when he saw it, and I was hooked too!) If you have younger kids I DEFINITELY wouldn't recommend marble, but so far we've been able to maintain ours fairly well. However, it definitely makes me a little anxious when it comes to staining, so definitely do some research before making a huge decision like that!)
Martha Stewart Cast Iron Dutch Oven
Crockpots… um, there are a lot thanks to Crocktober 🙂
All Clad “fancy” crockpot this was a gift from the PPP team (they're truly the best gift ever!) for my birthday and soooo stinkin' sweet. I'd been eyeing it for months but would never spend that much on a crock, so this was such a sweet gift!Â
BREAKFAST ROOM
- wall paint color: Sherwin Williams Pure White
Flowers from Joann's
Light fixture similar to this one
Tip: we ordered this several years ago through Furnitureland South in North Carolina. Basically, you find a piece of furniture you love online and they deliver it to you at pretty reduced prices (you have to wait a good bit because you're essentially skipping the middle-man, but we've used them also for our bedroom furniture and had great experiences!) It's been several years since we've ordered from them, but if you're in the furniture market it might be worth calling them if you find a piece you love.Â
FAMILY ROOMÂ
- wall paint color: Sherwin Williams Pure White
Alexandra Console Table and Round Side Table
Navy Ottoman from Wayfair similar to this one
Beauty in Imperfection farmhouse print from DeAnn DesignsÂ
This was a gift several years ago from my husband after I begged for it. It's become my “guide” for decorating our house – if I'm at a store and want to buy something, if the colors/style won't “fall” back and settle into that picture, I don't buy it. That means I stay away from buying red dishes at Christmas even though I love a little red occasionally. I skip purchasing a whole lot of dark green items other than fresh greenery because it won't “fit” into those colors. It's helped me make quick decisions and skip SO MANY PURCHASES because I love having clean colors, and don't love a ton of clutter.
And while I'm rambling here . . . I've also come up with the “5 things clutter” rules for our kitchen.
Round mirror from Home Goods similar to this one
Pillows from Target
Rattan Pouf from Target I can't find this one online, but I don't really love it and wouldn't recommend it – I do have these from Amazon in the basement though and really do like them!
Pottery Barn Comfort Sofa and Swivel Chairs
I was SUPER lucky and have a neighbor who's a decorator who offered me her Pottery Barn discount which was a HUGE help as most of our furniture we've purchased for the last few years has been from Pottery Barn. I'm so thankful, and love our Pottery Barn furniture so far!
WHEW…. at least for now, that's it! Have you ever found something in your home that you love and just want to share it with everyone? I feel so fortunate to get to share my ideas with you – I'd love to know what YOU love in your home too. Leave a comment to share ~ I'm cheering for you!

The specific dishwasher model they had installed was from last year but all of the Bosch dishwashers are amazing! Hope you can find one that is perfect for you!

Bridgett - PPP Team says
Hey Barbara. I’ve went back through our post and can’t find anything about painting any of our bedrooms gray. I did however find a post about painting a living room gray. We used Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray. Here’s a link to that post. Hope this helps! https://passionatepennypincher.com/edgecomb-gray-paint-makeover/

Can Laurie do an updated version on her new home??? I loved reading this one and would be interested in her new home.
Katelyn - PPP Team says
Hi Jenny, thanks for the idea! We will pass that along to our team and see if we can make that happen.

Laurie, what is the color used for the remainder of your cabinets? I love your kitchen!
Laurie says
The white ones are just white (whatever the builder had picked) and the blue ones in the island are Sherwin Williams Foggy Day. Hope that helps! 🙂

I loved your post about cluttering the kitchen and it made me take inventory. No Keurig? Microwave? Mini Oven. Toaster? Heavy cutting board? Lol. I have too much stuff, but I love my coffee. Reheat it in my microwave. Often use my mini oven because it’s HOT in Texas. Oh and I like toast with my eggs and coffee. Hahaha. I am envious of your clean lines kitchen, but I’m not sure I could give everything up!
So I’m awe of your willingness to sacrifice to be able to make your dreams come true. You’re an inspiration…

What did your kitchen counter installor recommend you use to clean the marble countertops? Your whole house is beautiful!
Laurie says
Thank you Jami! I use Mrs. Meyer’s multi surface daily to keep it clean, and Method Daily Granite (it’s safe for stones), all the time. Hope that helps! 🙂
