Costco Food Court News – New Menu Item & Drink Update!
Have you made a Costco run lately? If not, you might notice a refreshing change the next time you stop by the food court! Costco is officially making the switch back to Coca-Cola products, phasing out Pepsi over the coming months. According to the Coca-Cola Company, the transition kicked off in July and should be complete by this fall—with traditional Coke fountain machines rolling into all locations.
Are you thrilled to see Coca-Cola back in the lineup? Or are you Team Pepsi all the way? Let us know in the comments!
But that’s not the only buzz coming from the Costco food court… keep an eye out for a brand-new addition to the menu: the Combo Calzone! Priced at $6.99, this hearty option is loaded with pepperoni, sausage, cheese, tomato sauce, onions, peppers, olives, and mushrooms—all wrapped up in a warm, cheesy calzone crust. Yum!
Fans of the old Combo Pizza might be excited to see familiar flavors back in a new form—though not everyone is convinced it’s a worthy replacement. Still, it’s a fun twist for those craving something different!
Have you spotted the Combo Calzone at your store yet? Let us know what you thought!
Who Has a Better Hot Dog Combo – Costco or Sam’s Club?
We all know that Costco and Sam’s Club both offer delicious and affordable selections on their Food Court Menus, like huge pizzas that’ll feed a crowd, delicious frozen yogurt, ginormous beef hot dogs, and more.
However – is one food court “better” than the other??
Since both warehouses offer super affordable all-beef hot dog combos that are raved about by their members…let’s take a closer look to see just how the two warehouses compare here!
First, the Costco Hot Dog + Drink Combo has been the same $1.50 price since the 1980s and, according to the Costco CFO, it will likely stay that price “forever.” However, Sam’s Club recently lowered the price on their similar All Beef Frank + Drink Combo, making it a pretty good contender.
Plus, the new, lower price is here to stay!
But does it taste as good as Costco’s famous dog?
After learning that Sam’s Club lowered the price on their GIANT Hot Dog Combo (seems like lowering prices is a rare occurrence anywhere these days?), we thought it would be fun to do a taste test. 🙂
SO, my friend Shannon headed to both Costco and Sam’s Club to see which All-Beef 1/4-lb. Hot Dog really tasted better and which combo was the best bang for your buck…keep reading to see what she thought!
But first, let’s take a closer look to see how both of the food courts compare…

SO…Which One is Better?
My friend Shannon’s husband tested out both of the hot dogs and said that the Sam’s Club hot dog is the clear winner – he says it’s SO yummy and juicy with lots of flavor! Plus, it’s an overall better value, too!
Not only do you get a bigger drink ✔️, more condiments to choose from✔️, and a slightly better drink selection at the food court✔️, you’re also saving a few cents along the way. Sounds like a win to me!
SO if you’re out and about running errands or looking for a frugal meal idea, you know where to head! Then take those 12¢ savings and put them towards your eggs…because we’re all trying to save where we can there). 😉

I am Pepsi! Bummed about the switch to Coke. I think the only place to get fountain Pepsi is at Raco Bell
