Ingredients in Street Tacos with Chicken:
- Boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- Cumin
- Oregano
- Minced garlic
- Cilantro lime marinade (you can buy these premade with the salad dressings & marinades!)
- Corn tortillas
How to make chicken street tacos:
Start by combining the seasonings and marinade in a bowl or gallon-size Ziploc bag. Mix well and add the chicken. Marinate for at least one hour but up to four hours. The longer you marinate, the more bold the flavor will be!
Next, grill the chicken thighs over medium heat. You'll want about 4-5 minutes per side.
Once your chicken is cooked, remove it from the grill and let it rest three minutes before chopping so you don't lose any of that juicy goodness. Then, chop into small, 1/2″ cubes.
Warm your corn tortillas in the microwave or on a skillet. Top the tortillas with the chicken and whatever toppings you like! I went with sliced avocado and finely diced white onion, but these would taste amazing with so many different toppings.
You can also skip the tortilla entirely and make your own chicken street taco salad!

I want to make this. I found the Primal Kitchen brand Cilantro Lime dressing at Target. Will that one work?
We have not used that specific brand, but I am sure it would work the same way! Let us know if you give it a try. We would love to hear how you like it.
Delicious! My picky 4 year old ate seconds. Thank you so much for this recipe it paired perfectly with the street corn recipe you had up recently. Only thing I plan on doing differently is marinating it longer next time.
I only marinated it for about an hour this time planning on doing a four hour marinade next time.
Yay, I love hearing that Nicole. I am so glad your family enjoyed it. Thank you for letting us know about the marinate, we appreciate you!
