100 Bonus Stars with Brewed Coffee Purchase

Starbucks Rewards Just Changed
Starbucks actually updated their Rewards program back in June. Here’s the scoop…
Effective June 24, Starbucks changed how customers earn Bonus Stars when bringing in a reusable cup. Instead of earning a flat 25 Bonus Stars per visit, you’ll now receive Double Stars on your entire purchase whenever you bring your own cup. (And don’t forget—you’ll still get 10¢ off your drink, too!)
This update might be a great change if you typically place larger orders or grab drinks for the whole crew. But if you’re someone who just gets a quick $4 drink, you might earn fewer Stars than before.
Starbucks Rewards – What Changed?

What Does This Mean for You?
- Small order? You might earn fewer Stars than before.
- Big order? You’ll likely earn more Stars than ever!
- No matter what — bring your reusable cup to participating stores and enjoy those Double Stars while doing something eco-friendly! Valid when ordering a beverage in-store, in the Drive Thru, or the app.
Note: This change started June 24! To qualify for this benefit, rewards members must remain “active” by making at least one star-earning transaction within the prior two years.
How to Redeem Starbucks Stars
If you visit Starbucks often, here’s what your Stars can get you:
- 25 Stars: Add-ons like an espresso shot or syrup (up to $1 pre-tax, as part of a drink)
- 100 Stars: Hot or iced brewed coffee/tea, bakery item, snack, or select reusable cold/hot cup
- 200 Stars: Any handcrafted drink (latte, Frappuccino, etc.) or hot breakfast item
- 300 Stars: Salad, lunch sandwich, protein box, or packaged coffee (availability varies)
- 400 Stars: Select merchandise or packaged Starbucks Reserve coffee (up to $20 pre-tax)
