Journaling Bibles
If you’re going into a new season (or have been looking for a new bible for a while and are not sure where to start), these simple journaling Bibles are perfect for you! My daughter Reagan was heading to college this fall, and after years of having a pretty small bible, she asked for something a little bigger before she headed out.
She wanted to just grab one on Amazon, but since Bibles are a little more personal (I’ve had my same Life Application one for over 30 years!), we made a quick trip to the bookstore to compare a few options. We ended up with these two ~ she took the smaller one and I took the larger one to have to use in my Home Planner corner, and after testing them out we’d both highly recommend!
- Bright white paper (the perfect white ~ not too white but also smooth, buttery paper)
- A little larger (slightly wider than my Life Application Bible but not as tall)
- Such a pretty peachy-pink and gold cover. Also opens well to lay flat
Reagan’s journaling bible pick (she’s 18 for context if that helps!):
- Beautiful navy floral cover (I LOVE the cover of this one!)
- Simple black interior with cream pages (if you don’t like cream pages, skip this one, but it truly is lovely and so well made especially at this price!)
- Pretty small – could easily take on a trip, pack in a backpack or purse, and use while traveling as well as at home
If you’re in a new season, starting the school year out and ready to focus a little more on taking time to slow down and soak in each day, I’d definitely recommend either of these (and maybe these will save you a trip to the store).

I love my She Reads Truth bible. Crystal Payne recommended it a few years back and it has pleanty of margins to write notes in.
