One-Dish Cheeseburger Macaroni

I love how easy this dinner is to get on the table. Just a little bit of prep and you’re set. Pair it with a side salad or some veggies and you’ve got a complete meal that your family will go wild over.

Ingredients needed
- Ground beef
- Sweet onion
- Elbow macaroni
- Cheddar cheese
- Beef broth
- Ketchup
- Mustard
- Milk
- Montreal steak seasoning
- Green onions
How to make Cheeseburger Macaroni
I can’t stress enough just how easy this recipe is to prepare! Start by browning your ground beef and onion in a large skillet. Drain as needed.
Then, add your uncooked pasta, broth, milk, ketchup, mustard, and seasoning to the pan. Mix it all together and bring to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer, uncovered, for about 10-15 minutes until the noodles are tender.
Note: don’t overcook the noodles so they don’t get mushy!
Add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until the cheese is nice and melted. Top with sliced green onions and enjoy!
One-Dish Cheeseburger Macaroni
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 large yellow onion, diced
- 8 oz elbow macaroni pasta, uncooked
- 3 cups low-sodium beef broth
- ¾ cup milk
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tsp Montreal steak seasoning
- 1 tsp prepared mustard
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 green onions, diced
Instructions
- In large skillet, cook beef and onions over medium heat until browned and crumbly; drain.
- Combine pasta, broth, milk, ketchup, steak seasoning, and mustard; bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10-15minutes, uncovered, until pasta is tender. Stir in cheese until melted.
- To serve, garnish with green onions, if desired.
