These adorable Candy Cane Bows are a fun and easy holiday treat!
Candy Cane Bows
Did you know you can bend candy canes simply by warming them in the oven? It feels like complete Christmas magic! This simple little trick turns ordinary candy canes into the cutest edible bows, perfect for dressing up your holiday treats.
These candy cane bows make the sweetest toppers for cakes, brownies, cupcakes, or even a festive holiday snack board. You could also use them to decorate your gingerbread houses!
They look fancy, but they’re incredibly easy! Follow along for some helpful tips.
What You Need:
-
Candy canes (mini size works best)
-
A baking sheet lined with parchment paper
-
Oven preheated to 200°F
How to Make Candy Cane Bows:
Place two candy canes on your baking sheet and arrange them into a bow shape by crossing the ends at the bottom. Break off the curved “hook” section of another candy cane and place that small piece in the center to create the “bow tie.”
Bake your arranged candy canes at 200°F for about 10 minutes. They should soften enough to bend but still hold their shape. You have to keep your eye on them, you don’t want them to get too melty.
Remove them from the oven and quickly (but gently) bend and pinch the pieces together to secure your bow shape. Work carefully, they will be warm, but they cool and harden fast!
And there you have it! This is such a simple, festive way to add a little extra holiday magic to your desserts!
Have fun with it, and don’t forget to share your candy cane creations! We’d love to see your creativity!
