IKEA is teaming up with Best Buy to open mini Planning Centers inside select stores in Florida and Texas. See locations, details, and what to expect!
Best Buy & IKEA Are Teaming Up…And It’s Pretty Brilliant!
Oh my word, friends… this one has me ALL kinds of excited! IKEA + Best Buy are joining forces, and it’s a match made in home-makeover heaven. 🙂 Think stylish, affordable design from IKEA *plus* the latest tech and appliances from Best Buy – all under one roof. Yep, it’s really happening!
Here’s the scoop: This fall, Best Buy and IKEA U.S. are launching brand-new IKEA Planning Centers inside select Best Buy stores. It’s the very first time IKEA products and services will be offered through another U.S. retailer (how cool is that?!). That means you can dream up your kitchen, laundry, or storage makeover and pick out the appliances and tech to match – all in one stop.
What Can You Expect In Store?
Picture this: you walk into Best Buy and – surprise! – there’s a cozy IKEA “mini store” right inside. Each Planning Center will be about 1,000 square feet (basically a little showroom), filled with gorgeous IKEA kitchen and laundry setups to get those creative wheels turning.
Here’s what makes it extra fun:
- Design With IKEA: Sit down with an IKEA pro to plan out your space. You can dream BIG here-storage, kitchens, laundry… they’ve got ideas for it all.
- Get Appliance & Tech Help: Best Buy’s famous Blue Shirts will help you figure out which appliances (and even smart home gadgets!) will fit your plan.
- Easy Ordering: You’ll be able to order your IKEA furniture right there in store and have it delivered straight to your door. (No flat-pack balancing act in the parking lot.)
- Pickup Option: At a couple of select locations, you can even pick up IKEA orders you placed online.
Where’s This Rolling Out?
For now, the pilot is starting small – just 10 Best Buy stores in Florida and Texas, but possibly more in the future. Two of those stores – Lakeland, FL and Alamo Ranch, TX – will also serve as pickup hubs for IKEA.com orders (yay for free pickup!). Here’s the full list of participating stores:
- Boynton Beach, FL
- Daytona Beach, FL
- Lakeland, FL
- Melbourne, FL
- Waterford Lakes, FL
- Alamo Ranch, TX
- Hulen, TX
- Humble, TX
- Mesquite, TX
- South Austin, TX
Why This Is Such a Big Deal?
If you’ve ever tried planning a home project, you know how tricky it can be to juggle furniture shopping with appliance shopping with tech shopping (and all the planning in between). This partnership takes away so much of the stress and offers the following:
- One stop for design + appliances + delivery
- Affordable style from IKEA (yes, please!)
- Trusted tech help from Best Buy experts
It’s basically a win-win for everyone. IKEA gets to reach more customers without building a giant new store, and Best Buy gets to level up its home-project offerings. And for us shoppers? It’s a whole new way to dream, plan, and create our perfect spaces.
