Each morning when I look over my day as I sip my coffee (um, I’ll be honest. I’m *always* racing. So I pretty much gulp down my coffee), I’ve started stopping to take a deep breath and read my scripture before I start my work day.
I choose one verse, write it down in my planner if there’s room, then scoot along to the rest of my to do list.
It’s been grounding for me ~ and since I leave my bible open right there, there’s no hassle to push me off track when I begin each day.
Set yourself up for success when you can. Make the most important things in your day also the simplest things.

Hi Katy ~ Laurie and many team members tested for bleed-through (because we know how much that matters!) and with our gel pens you can slightly see through if you press hard — but no more than with the 2025 planners. We haven’t tried the pastel Sharpies but some of our readers have commented that the Sharpie felt tip pens do not bleed through, however, the fine tip ones do.
