Is Thanksgiving looking a bit different at your house this year??? I get it, ours is too!
You might even be wondering where to even start because you've never hosted Thanksgiving before. Or just maybe you've waited until the last minute to get a plan together. We want to help. 🙂
Turkey Appetizer Tray
First things first, this Turkey Appetizer Tray is just the cutest and will tide your bunch over until the feast is ready! This is seriously a favorite at our house, and I know it will be in your home too!
An Instant Pot Thanksgiving
If you have an Instant Pot you've never used (I'm right there with you ~ whew!) but this might be just the time to unbox that sucker and put it to work. We created this awesome Instant Pot Thanksgiving Menu that might just save you this year. You can even bake a cheesecake right in the Instant Pot, crazy, huh?!?
But, if you're more of a traditionalist and still just a wee bit scared of your IP, we've got you! Here are a few of our tried and true recipes that are great for Thanksgiving!
Turkey Breast in the Crock-Pot
If you have a small family you're cooking for, a turkey breast in the crockpot is perfect! Give this one a try and free up that oven space for your sides. 🙂
Easy Roasted or Grilled Vegetables
Roasting veggies is a great idea for Thanksgiving because you can use a wonderful variety and it makes a great presentation.
One Dish Corn Casserole
If you aren't making a traditional dressing or stuffing this year consider making this delicious corn casserole. It has cornbread mix right in it which makes it a wonderful substitute or a great stand alone dish as well. Bonus points because it's super-duper easy!
Alternative Green Bean Casserole
If you're looking for an alternative Green Bean Casserole recipe for this Thanksgiving, this recipe is for you! While I like the traditional Cream of Mushroom Soup Green Bean Dish, I'm not a huge fan of cream soups so we tried this one out years ago and liked it.
Slow Cooked Mashed Potatoes
Do you need to free up a little stove-top space on Thanksgiving, but not sure what to scoot off the stove? Try making these simple potatoes ahead of time, and then let them warm up all day in the slow cooker. These potatoes are pretty fantastic before you let them warm, but the yummy flavors cook up perfectly once cooked all day.
Broccoli Cheese Casserole
This is our family's favorite (seriously, best ever) Broccoli Cheese Casserole, and it's so yummy that I maybe have eaten it cold once or twice (right out of the fridge . . . ). 🙂
Deviled Eggs
A Classic! This recipe can easily be doubled if you're feeding a large crew and can be made ahead!
The Best Bread Machine Dough Recipe ~ Homemade Bread
Last but not least, you'll want to serve a warm crusty bread. Or save yourself some time and pick up a couple of pans of Sister Schubert Rolls and call it done!
Most of all, enjoy your bunch this Thanksgiving. I'm praying a beautiful day for you and your family.
Hugs!
Laurie
