Hosting a party for the Big Game? Here's how to make a show-stopping football snack stadium with all your favorite appetizers!
DIY Football Snack Stadium
The Super Bowl is LESS than a month away, so it’s time to start thinking about throwing a Super Bowl watching party! While I AM a football fan, my favorite part of the Super Bowl is definitely filling up on the classic party finger foods & dips—wings, sliders, chips, guacamole, nachos, and pizza. And, if you're already hosting, you may as well go BIG and build your own football snack STADIUM while you're at it!
This DIY snack display may be a little extra but it is such a fun way to include all your favorite big game snacks – and totally wow your party guests in the process.
Plus, it's actually easier than you think to build your own stadium – I'm going to show you exactly how to do it!
Supplies needed
- Four 12-packs of your favorite sodas (you can grab a variety since these can double as your party drinks, too!)
- Brown craft paper (you could really use any wrapping paper for this!)
- Scissors & tape
- Wax or parchment paper
- 9×13-inch disposable pan

How to make a football snack stadium
Each stadium section is made from one half of a soda box, so you'll start by carefully cut each 12-pack of soda in half, along the handle line. Set aside the soda pop for your guests to enjoy later.
Then, using the cardboard that the 12-pack came in and a ruler, you’ll measure 3 inches from the bottom and draw a line. Connect the corner of this marked line to the top of your box to create a diagonal line. Cut along these lines to make your angled “stadium seating”.
Next, wrap the outside of each box with craft paper (but you could totally use your team’s colors) and then line each box with wax paper.
Note: if you're short on time, you can skip the wrapping part and leave the soda boxes plain. BUT, I really think the uniform look adds so much to the fun!
Once we repeated this with all the boxes we had 8 stands, plenty for holding all our snacks. These stadium seats can fill A LOT of food!
What food should you use in a DIY football snack stadium?
Fill this Super Bowl Stadium snack bar with easy-to-eat food that guests can help themselves to throughout the game. I included veggies, chips, Bagel Bites, pigs in a blanket, candy, and buffalo wings. This is so fun and easy to customize so feel free to change up your snack selection.
Now, any stadium needs a football field, right?! Here's where that 9×13-inch pan will come in.
We're using guacamole for our green football field!
I used pre-made guacamole to make it easy, though you could make your own! Spread the guacamole in the pan and then use squeeze sour cream to make “yard lines” across the pan.
If you don't have the squeeze-bottle sour cream, you can spoon the sour cream into a large Ziploc bag or piping bag and pipe it onto the field as if you're frosting a cake.
Next, make your goal posts. This is SO easy, I promise! All you need are some paper straws (yellow is ideal 😉 I grabbed this set online that worked great!) and a glue gun.
Bend one straw into the uprights shape and then use your glue gun to glue a straight straw into the middle of the uprights shape. Stick the straw field goals into each end zone of the guacamole. How cute is that?!
With the right mix of food, drinks, and good vibes, your Super Bowl party will be a hit whether the game is thrilling or not!
