Did my desk. had an office but my son moved back home so now i am back in the family room. Got rid of all my old paper work an cleaned the table very well. That is what my desk is , is an old table but it works great an is just the right size to hold my laptop an a few other things, so it does need to be clean or it looks junkie, so it looks great right now. I did my master bath today, the things you find in the under sink closet, ahhh cleared it all out an now have everything in a nice order with a few bins. Yess I am miss clean. yeaaaaaaaaa

  2. Karen says

    Karen

  3. Debbie Moe says

I had gone to bed, then read your challenge! After vacuuming, mopping and putting away winter clothes, cleaning my laptop was a pleasant change. I used some canned air and a Qtip, too!

    Thanks!
    Debbie

  4. Karen says

Cleaned all inside windows and doors. Also kitchen curtain washed, ironed and put back up.
Looking good. I love when you say get off your phones, tablets and get moving with you

  5. Karen says

Thank you for motivating me to clean my refrigerator today!! Needed it desperately. Also shined my cabinet knobs and my cabinets yesterday. Your such an inspiration. It took more than 5 minutes but worth every minute. Everything looks so clean and shiney

  6. Cecilia says

Filed away stacks of papers on my desk and cleaned up the Cricut! Journaling pens all in their spot and ready to go!!!!

  7. Rita kothari says

Fridge cleaned. Spic and span. Not sure how long it will last. However mighty pleased with the way it looks now.

  8. Cyndie says

Wow. This was a great challenge today. My fridge looks great and after cleaning all day I was just going to plop and just be done. But i saw the challenge and decided I needed to do that too. Thankyoy for that last push I needed at the end of the day. My house looks clean and we can wake up tomorrow hopefully to a nice calm content home.
Thankyou again for all your group does…

  9. Christina L says

Done! You’ve also inspired me to do my large wooden blinds in the livingroom and laundry closet. Thank you!!!

  10. Rachel says

Did this today and my refrigerator looks so nice and organized. Working my way to a clean house. Only three more rooms to go.

  11. Katherine says

This was done a couple of days ago on refrigerator day. Figured it I was going to clean it out, might as well go further and be able to check it off for both the weekly and the spring cleaning check boxes.

  12. Katherine says

Appliances done. Descaled my Keurig so it did take longer. But, it was something that needed to get done.

  13. Jamie says

I deep cleaned my work area where I do online classes weekly (also where the family drops EVERYTHING mom needs to see ‍♀️)

    • Cindy says

I keep forgetting that she directs us here and I comment on the post. But she does say to comment here, on the blog.❤️
I’ve done every one, too. Love this!

  14. Cyndie Bradtke says

I cleaned the doorknobs and then went further and did my kitchen cabinets with this beeswax polish I had. They look so nice. Thanx for the motivation.

  15. Paula says

I just saw this post. I cleaned the countertop, microwave, clean shiny surfaces in the kitchen, deep clean top of fridge, and deep clean kitchen cabinet doorknobs, so it took more than 5 minutes, but I am so happy that my kitchen is clean. Thanks.

  16. Megan says

Spring cleaning has been full force here lately. This is a good time to go through, organize and move out. Love this and all the encouragement! Thanks again!

  17. Katherine says

This is the first day that I’m seeing this so I went ahead and got all caught up. Took me less than a half hour. I continued with deep cleaning my fridge. Nice to get a jump on my list. Thanks for the motivation!

  18. Cecilia Felts says

Wow! DONE! I have been keeping up and the top of the fridge is always so forgetful! Thank you for this! I don’t have a lot on mine since we’ve recently gotten a new one (maybe since January) but WOW it doesn’t take long for that to need some TLC!

Also big thanks for the planner code… I heard about them after they were sold out and I’d been debating if I wanted it in B&W since that’s all I have but the code pushed my decision tonight! Project planner day tomorrow! 🙂

  19. Hayley B. says

I got the top of my fridge done! Things are put back in their correct place, and some things were tossed.

  20. Elizabeth Anderson says

Top of the refrigerator is done! I don’t know that I had done it since we moved in, so it took longer than 5 min, but that new Dawn spray made quick work of it! Now my hubby is taking his lunch in a clean box instead of grocery sacks!

  21. Kris says

Too much in the top of my refrigerator for it to be a 5 minute job, but up for the challenge. Thanks again for inspiring us to be the best that we can be! Please stay healthy and safe!

  22. Cindy says

Oh! This was a good one! I’m not very tall and I sort of forget about cleaning up there as often as I should. I’m ashamed to say it was pretty grody, but it’s now marked safe for viewing by tall folks!

  23. Lisa says

Frig, microwave, stove (including cooktop) and dishwasher all shiny. You’re right. Took five minutes! Checking these tasks off my handy dandy spring cleaning checklist

  24. Cyndie says

I did the challenges ladt night and forgot to reply. I didnt get done til 11:49 pm but i got them done and my kitchen looked beautiful. My counters are always done and sinks too but i dont always get to the fridge and oven. I truly hate hate hate a dirty microwave. So that i love to clean.

  25. Beth says

Done with task #3! Microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and sink are all shining. Thanks for the motivation to tackle a few quick chores this week!

  26. Kellie says

I didn’t see this until after midnight but I was so motivated that I jumped up and cleaned it! Today is my first day as a member – I can’t tell you the last time I deep cleaned my microwave (I know yuck!). Obviously I need some motivation! Thanks for the kick in the pants!

  27. Jennifer M says

I’m so glad you’re doing these challenges. I had just noticed today our microwave was looking like it needed to be cleaned. A couple hours later I saw your post! I figured I had 5 minutes so I did it. I would have continued to ignore it if you hadn’t motivated me.

  28. Heidi Riordan says

This was great! I’m having trouble sleeping, so this was perfect. Thank you. Done! And the microwave is clean and fresh for the college Kuds tomorrow 🙂

  29. Kris says

I do my microwave each time I use it, plus I use a splash cover. My family, however, doesn’t always do the same! Just completed a deep clean! Microwave: done! Thanks so much!!

  30. Vanessa says

What a great read, thanks for the quick 5 min clean!! Will MOST DEF do it again & share with friends! Thank you!

  31. Tiffany Wieber says

Done! And I am deep cleaning my washing machine right now too. It was smelling weird. Using Oxy Clean.

    • Heather says

Praying you can still read these comments….Thank you so much for my gift card! Although you don’t need to reward me for following you, it’s my pleasure to do that, it sure is a wonderful surprise!!! Thanks again!

  32. Rebecca L. Allen says

Opened up the kitchen windows; got a crisp, pleasant and much welcomed breeze of fresh air. Went under my sink through the plethora of cleaning products- gently tore out a single sheet from my ” book” of my magical Mr. Clean erasers. Wiped down my small (but cozy) kitchen- first the counter, moved the appliances to grab every last crumb, then tackled the outside of the fridge All to the lovely sounds of the birds singing outside, and the beautiful scent of Mother Nature’s breeze softly billowing the kitchen curtains.
Almost finished the fridge within the 5 minute challenge as well!!!
If you put your mind to it, you can do it. Don’t think of the hard work ahead, but be thankful for what you have- then blessed with the prize at the end of getting your “cleaning cardio” on- with a lovely space that is welcoming & sparkling clean- just how you dreamed!
Sending prayers out there for everyone to remain safe and healthy, and of course; to a full and speedy recovery to those that have been affected directly (or indirectly,) by this horrible pandemic. But most of all, a strong shoulder to lean on for those who have lost loved ones its its wake.

  33. Christina Forth says

Kitchen done That will last less than a day because I have a husband and kids at home ‍♀️

    • Kim says

Yesterday, Cleaned the large utensils drawer and added drawer dividers that someone shared in the group. Drawer changing.

  34. Shaylee says

Absolutely love your stuff ! I have two babies so it’s a must for me to be cleaning my counters all the time! But just your positivity has helped out so much! Thank you!!

  35. Caitlin says

I was up early this morning and got my counter tops done after my coffee! Feels good to get that accomplished? Thank you!

  36. Tracy says

    Done! ✅

(So, maybe this was done on the 23rd because the kids were All happily on their classroom hangouts doing fun things as a class & I saw a lot of messy homes in the background & wanted to make sure I wasn’t letting things slide)

  37. Amanda says

    Done 🙂
My tip, with my older kids and sometimes myself, is to pick up 20 things. It can be small things. If we watch some tv, we pick up 20 things, they play for awhile, it’s time again to pick up 20 things. It breaks cleaning up into little chunks. I use to do 10 things but I didn’t feel I was getting anywhere.
    Thanks for all you do.

  38. Lisa Kramer-Murray says

It’s been a crazy week. I’ve been cleaning counter tops, door knobs, remote controls, cell phones, cabinet handles. drawer knobs, computers, kitchen appliance handles, light switches, & more! I’m thinking I’m over-doing-it, but then I watch the news & think my OCD may be a good idea. All the Frugal Penny stuff is a wonderful feel-good moment. I just bought myself some Vera Bradley, not my norm! Lol, teaching via virtual-web, & worrying about keeping our families safe… ladies, we’ve earned something nice for ourselves, on sale too! ;0)

  39. Angela says

I did this Friday of last week and when my husband came home he was really happy. I’m one of those people that if it’s a flat surface…..trying to get better about it and now that I haven’t had mounds of school papers for almost 2 weeks it’s already getting better. I think I have finally came up with a system for their school work too.

  40. Christy Chilson says

It’s a Great time for cleaning & organizing my house. Thanks for the tips. Keep being awesome!

  41. Michelle S says

    Great idea!!!
Kids bedrooms? Done in 5 easy steps: 1. Trash
    2. Shoes
    3. Make bed
    4. Clothes away
5a. Everything else (toys, art supplies)
5b. Dirty dishes to kitchen (this was added at Teenage years)

  42. Stephanie Thomas says

Once you start for 5 min, you feel motivated to get a lot more done! Thanks for the kick start.

  43. Veronica P. says

This is a great idea!! Thank you for the encouragement! Deep cleaned my counters! And I’m super happy I did 🙂

  44. Melissa Elfstrum says

I don’t have much counter space, but I do have a very large dining room table that manages to collect misc. papers. Both table and counter tops are clean!

  45. Julia says

Countertops look great. I have to say though, I think I’ve cleaned them 5 times a day this week. This time was a little deeper.

  46. Carol H says

Kitchen looks great! My trick when I have several large rooms to set a timer for 30 minutes and go to each room for the 30 minutes then stop, go to second room set timer 30 mins and once it goes off then room #3 same thing and keep it going back to room #1, etc. Each time you go back to a room you had previously done the 30 minute limit the cleaning project looks like you made a huge improvement which motivates me. This works great on those projects which would takes hours to clean. A little at a time done and less stressful. Each time I re-entered a room I appreciate what I got done the last 30 minutes I did and gives me hope that it will be vleN soon.

  47. Jennifer says

I do the same type thing in my car daily, and then again as I put my clean laundry back into the car at the laundromat.

  48. Heidi Riordan says

Counters cleaned! Best 5 minutes spent – quick and easy!
Best part – new clean dishtowel 🙂
    Thanks!!!!

  49. Erika V says

Cleaning done! Thanks for the motivation:) I love to use vinager especially on glass windows it sounds odd but its “green” eco friendly and has high amounts of acidic acid it also works great on shower grime too!

  50. Leticia Mendoza Tejada says

Dinner leftovers are put up and counters are clean! I used Truman’s Everything & The Kitchen Sink!

  51. Tracy L says

Countertop done. Even though I did it after dinner we still had stuff stacked up on the counter that I;m trying to avoid. Some still working and some working from home means lots of extra’s around.

    • Kendall says

Cleaned. Whew, that is quite the accomplishment because our countertop get ROUGH. The big island is a catch all.

  52. Kelly says

Great Challenge and good reminder while we are trying to keep germs at bay! Love your emails, posts and energy. You have saved me a lot of money! Thank you!

  53. Janell says

My home feels that much lighter and open by taking five minutes to put away everything I left out on my counters over the last few days.
