Microfiber cloths are GREAT for removing grime and being a work horse for cleaning…. but they can get pretty dirty rather quick!
You DO want to clean your towels regularly so you're not spreading germs around your home. Microfiber towels can last a really long time if you take care of them. Here's the best ways to clean your microfiber cloth.

You can choose one of two ways for how to clean microfiber cloths – either throw them in the washing machine or hand wash them.
How to Clean Microfiber Cloth in the Washer
Your microfiber cloths can last for YEARS – as long as you follow two basic steps when you wash your microfiber.
- Use ZERO heat if you throw them in the dryer
- Do NOT use fabric softener (liquid or dryer sheet), powdered detergent, or bleach
Simply use a gentle detergent (whatever you use for your regular laundry should be fine – you could use some Lysol sanitizer too if you'd like!) and wash in warm water. Avoid washing with items that are made from cotton as your microfiber items will just stick!
If you decide to hand wash instead of using the washing machine, use your same gentle detergent with hot water. If you feel the microfiber towels REALLY need a good scrubbing from being heavily soiled you can use a soft brush to help work out any stains.
How to Dry Microfiber Towels
It's best to air dry your microfiber items, and they tend to dry really quick too. If you're in a rush and HAVE to use the dryer. be sure to use no heat so you don't damage your towels.
If you'd like some great Microfiber Cloths, you can try out these for just 54¢ each right now. (They're what I use!)

I switched to all the Norwex cloths they work so well. Try any of the Norwex cloths they are so many uses for them. And, they absorb the water so well. And, and dry so well. And, fast.

I agree that microfiber cloths are wonderful and more environmentally friendly than any other cleaning product. I am a HUGE Norwex user and have been rewarded a LOT of wonderful products through having parties. My husband and I also own a auto detail and switched to Norwex exclusively to do my interior cleaning, especially windows. I’m not sure if I’ve just been lucky, but I wash all of mine in hot water and dry them in the dryer. They are just fine. One thing that I would like to call to your attention tho, is the picture in this article of a microfiber with furniture polish. In my experience, using any kind of product like that clogs up the microfibers and besides, it leave a residue on the furniture. Thank you for the great web site and all your useful information!
