The BEST Pork Chop Marinade – Only 5 Ingredients!
As much as I love my slow cooker in the winter time (I love it in the summer time too. . .), there's not much better than an easy meal on the grill. If you're grilling this weekend and looking for something different than burgers and dogs, try out this pork chop marinade. It's the BEST!
On busy days, I pull out some meat in the morning, add some marinade (check out my favorite chicken marinade), let it sit in the fridge all day, and hand it to my hubby to throw on the grill at dinnertime.
It's easy, usually pretty healthy, and as long as I stick to basic ingredients and use meat that I've purchased on sale, it's a great way to pinch a few pennies. Add some veggies, a baked potato, or a big salad and dinner is DONE.
Several years ago, we had been traveling and came straight home on a Thursday from traveling for two weeks and headed out Friday to watch baseball all weekend.
But, I thawed out some pork chops and made this simple yummy grilled pork chop marinade.
Five ingredients, less than $5 in meat if you can find a good sale, and no more than 10 minutes of prep time. And even after traveling I can handle that!

Here's how to get started with this pork chop marinade . . .
Ingredients:
- soy sauce
- honey
- red wine vinegar
- garlic powder
- pork chops
Combine your first 4 ingredients (Soy sauce, red wine vinegar, honey, and garlic powder) in a mixing bowl. Be sure your boneless pork chops are thawed, and then poke a few holes in them with a fork (you could also use bone in pork chops, but we have found the boneless work best for this recipe).
Place the pork chops in a large plastic bag and then pour the marinade ingredients over the chops. Allow to sit for at least 30 minutes.
Remove the pork chops and set your grill to high heat. Grill the marinated pork chops about 5 to 8 minutes per side or until cooked through.
Enjoy!

Is this recipe in the 5 Ingredient box?
Hi Denise! Yes, it is in Week Six of the 5 Ingredient Menu Box. I hope that helps!
The recipe in the 5 Ingredient box Week 6 is called Mushroom Pork Chops and it’s very different from the one that was sent in the Supper Club #7 email. That pork chop recipe was just called “The BEST 5 ingredient Pork Chop Marinade.” I was wondering if it’s already on a card or if I need to make one.
Thank you!
This was a delicious marinade and even my kids (ages 4-9) loved it! Thank you! So far I’ve made 6 recipes from your Freezer Meal pack and all were really liked by my entire family.
So glad you and your family are enjoying the recipes, Krissy!
I weekly meal prep, Can I prepare this with the Marinade and freeze it, or will be too much with flavor?
Hi Sharon ~ You can definitely freeze your marinade!
So easy and oh so good! I used 1/2” slices of pork loin, marinated for about 6 hours and cooked them in my grill pan on the stove. Made sure not to overcook the pork which I have a tendency to do and it practically melted in our mouths. I know we will be enjoying this recipe over and over. Thank you!
Mmmmm making me hungry! Thank you so much for your comment!
Loved this! A friend sent to me, and I made it work with apple cider vinegar, a splash of red cooking wine and coconut aminos. Very tasty!!
Homemade!!! It’s the only thing that taste good! And so easy to do…
I think I will look for these and try your recipe this weekend. Thank you for sharing!
What would be the best oven time and degree or crock pot timing?
Delicious way to make pork chops! My husband and I have made several times and always is a favorite.
Also works with apple cider vinegar if you don’t have red wine vinegar
Good to know April! 🙂
This recipe was really good. We tried it today and my fiancé loved it. I did put a little more honey because it seemed like it might be a little salty. It worked out great!! Thanks
