PPP Team Member Laura tried a similar one recently – and gave it her full review!
Why would you need a rotary grater? Why not just buy shredded cheese in a bag??
I 100% used to think this too – until I tried one of these graters, saw how EASY it is to use and clean, and tried the cheese that it shredded. It is a GAME. CHANGER.
Shredded cheese has additives so that it doesn't stick together in the bag, which is why sometimes shredded cheese doesn't melt as well. If you like melty cheese, give this product a try 🙂
This awesome cheese grater grates WAY more than just cheese! We recently put this 3-in-1 handheld grater tool to the test and we are so impressed. Here are some details and why we love it (and how to get it on sale!).
Geedel Rotary Cheese Grater – $24.97 (Reg. $30)
One of our FAVORITE features of this grater is that there are three blades to choose from, depending on what you're prepping:
- Shredding Blade: Ideal for potato, cucumber, zucchini, carrot, and medium to hard cheese blocks (I tested this with a block of white cheddar)
- Fine Shredding Blade: Get a fine grate on things like ice, chocolate, nuts, and cookies (I noticed they give an example of crushing Oreo cookies for a recipe which I have GOT to try!)
- Slicing Blade: Great for slicing veggies like cucumber, potato, carrot, and zucchini
How to use this handheld grater:
- First, choose the blade you need and insert it into the plastic cover. Attach the arm and lock the grater into place using the suction-cup base.
- Then, simply feed the food through the top of the barrel while turning the arm. You don't need much pressure at all for this!
The grater also comes with a pusher to protect your hands and prevent any food waste. Plus, it comes in lots of fun color options!
Three things we love about this cheese grater:
High Quality, Sharp Blades – These blades are definitely up to the task of grating a cheese block! I was able to shred an 8oz. block of fresh cheese in literally 10 seconds using this tool.
Dishwasher Safe – Clean up is made super easy by putting the blades and barrel in the top-rack of the dishwasher.
Budget-Friendly – The grater itself is under $25 and I think it will pay for itself before long. Since it's so easy to use, I know I can dedicate an hour or two of food prep to make from scratch some foods I normally buy pre-shredded for the convenience.
You can especially take advantage of the savings by shredding blocks of cheese (it's fresher as it is vs. bags of shredded cheese), potatoes for hashbrowns, and carrots (I love shredded carrots in my salad!).

can you please tell me what crockpot Lauri uses that you can saute the food in before you slow cook? Thank you so much
Hi Debi! Laurie uses the Beautiful by Drew Barrymore Multi-Cooker! https://passionatepennypincher.com/best-slow-cooker/
Hope that helps! 🙂
