Aldi Advent Calendars 2024
2024 Aldi Advent Calendars will be in stores early November this year. For 2023, these popular calendars started on NOVEMBER 1. These are always popular every year and Aldi does NOT disappoint with these fun calendars each year. Â
Advent calendars at Aldi are so fun and they do have so many different options. They have themed advent calendars like Jurassic Park and Matchbox Cars, chocolate advent calendars, DOG and cat advent calendars, and …. cheese advent calendars?! (It's a real thing and such a cute idea!)
Just a heads up – these are EXTREMELY popular. If you have a specific one that you're looking for – go early on the day they open. My store regularly has people lined up waiting for the store to open on the November 1 release date. They're that well liked!

This cheese calendar is one of the most highly coveted items every year. You'll see people making a run to the back of the store where the cheeses are – and this cheese advent calendar is what they are after!  Each calendar has 24 festive mini cheeses in it (and some of them are specialty cheeses!).

This might be one of the coolest things I've seen at Aldi so far. LOTS of people love the different Aldi Candles that they have through the year, and for the advent season there are two options for candle advent calendars.

While Aldi typically releases ALL of their advent calendars together on one day, we did notice that there are a few special releases later into the season. Some of these we don't have preview pictures for, but I'm sure they're going to be perfect ones to grab too!

Note that typically there is a LIMIT 2 on each of these advent calendars. My store originally tried to only allow limit of 2 total, but then clarified that it was a limit of 2 of the same type. Just be aware as you plan your shop!Â
Has Aldi always had calendars like this?
Aldi has been around since I was young, but they didn't start with advent calendars in store until 2018. Their first calendar was the wine advent calendar, and it has just grown from there each year.
In 2021, they offered a whopping 20 different advent calendars. For 2022, we saw 28 different Aldi Advent Calendars – WOW!
While not all stores carry ALL of the calendars, the cheese advent calendar, dog advent calendar, coffee advent calendar, and chocolates are widely available at most stores.
TIP: Remember that the store will be BUSY the morning of these advent calendar releases. Plan to get to your Aldi early and that you may have crowds!
The cheese advent calendar is typically back with the deli cheeses, while the other Aldi advent calendars are with the Aldi Finds items (or on a nearby end cap). Â
It's also important to note that most Aldi stores just get one shipment of calendars – so typically what you see is all they have available.
When is the release date for the 2023 Aldi Advent calendar?
We expect the release date for the 2023 advent calendars to be November 1, 2023. We will update for sure once it's confirmed!
Where can I buy Aldi Advent and Holiday Calendars?
The Aldi holiday calendars are ONLY available in store at select Aldi stores. Also note that some items are prohibited by the state you live in (for example, items with alcohol can not be sold in stores in Pennsylvania).
If you get VERY lucky to have an Aldi Instacart shopper picking items up for you in store, they *may* be able to grab you a calendar as well, but this depends heavily on your shopper and the stock that your store has.
Tips for Shopping at Aldi
- Check out your Aldi online weekly ad over HEREÂ before you shop.
- Aldi requires you to bring your own bags (or you can purchase them for $.06 per bag at the store.)
- You'll need to pay a quarter to use a cart at Aldi. When you return the cart, you'll get the quarter back.
- Aldi does not accept manufacturer coupons (however they have had a few Aldi Store coupons recently in a few local papers.)
- Aldi sale ad varies by store.

Aldi uses instant cart for delivery and pick up. However they don’t deliver, sorry about that. Hope this helps!
I ran into Aldi yesterday for a few things and had forgotten all about the calendars, walked down the aos and saw them. I used to buy nearly one of every kind but got just one this time, the ultimate chocolate one for my husband, since he really seems to enjoy it. I didn’t however see the candle one, which I thought was novel, so I went back today and they had them! FYI, it’s heavy, especially if you didn’t get a cart lol.

We are expecting them in stores on November 1st but when we know for sure we will be posting for sure!
Got mine yesterday- wine, beer, hot sauce, cheese, dog treats, hot wheels and 2 different chocolate ones. I stand in line every year for this. My family loves them. My store didn’t have the coffee but I’ll keep looking.
