Airport Outfits (what I LOVE!)
Looking for an airport outfit idea for your next trip that's both cute and cozy? Way back in 2022 (!!!) I originally wote this post on the airport outfit I love, and 3 years later I still hop around Pinterest, look for a new outfit to wear, and land back with basically this same one straight from my closet. Here you go!
1. Cozy Joggers
SAVE: These lightweight, cozy Joggers Pants are SOOO comfy – they're like a combination of sweatpants and leggings and are pretty cute too (my college-aged daughter Caroline even commented on how cute they were!). 🙂 I love that they have pockets and the wrinkle-free fabric is super soft – it's a blend of nylon & spandex.
They're perfect for running through the airport or sitting for hours on long flights ~ they can be dressed up or down, too! I'm wearing a size Medium and think they run pretty true to size.
SPLURGE: Last year I splurged and upgraded to this pair of Lululemon joggers (wearing in most recent pic) and I LOVE THEM. They lay just a little better when wearing, wash and dry beautifully, and I've easily worn them once a week for the last year. I don't think they feel much different than the less expensive Amazon version, but they do slim a little more (they're lessy baggy in the right places), and they just are about the coziest pair of pants you can recommend. If you're like me and only going to purchase one pair of joggers to wear for multiple years, this is the one.
2. Denim Jacket
A denim jacket is not only trendy, but it goes with just about everything and will keep you warm if your flight gets a little chilly. (You can tie it around your waist in a jiffy or throw it in a bag if you get hot). The best part? It has TONS of pockets – easy access to your headphones and camera while traveling.
The denim jacket I'm wearing is an older one from Stitch Fix (I've had it now for probably 7 years at least!), but here's a similar one from Amazon that looks great too(I really love the vintage wash!).
3. The Perfect Tank
Save: You can't beat the price on a classic Old Navy tank top – under $6 right now!
Splurge: I LOVE LOVE LOVE this tank top! I have 2 and honestly believe they're worth every penny ~ it fits well in all the right spots, isn't too short, and just feels amazing. I've washed and worn mine 3 days a week for the last 3 years, and highly recommend – if it's in your budget, splurge on this one!
(Also, here's the perfect sports bra if you need it for medium support. Definitely recommend!)
4. Comfy Shoes
Save: These Adidas tennis shoes are a great price if you're looking for a cute new pair of tennis shoes right now!
Splurge: I LOVE my Hokas. Especially because we usually do a ton of walking when traveling, you'll almost always find me in these.
5. A FUN Tote Bag
Lastly, I always love a fun tote bag for traveling (we're actually coming out with some in the PPP Shop for fall that make the perfect travel bag, but while we wait, I'm using this one from Amazon!) I bought mine last year when it was priced a little lower – if we see it drop in price we'll be sure to let you know!
Last but not least…. here's the luggage I've been using for the last few years and loving. It travels well, is the perfect size for 3-4 days of travel, and has held up even with my clumsy self! And, you can get 25% OFF these select luggage items with the code PTRAVEL through 6/26!
There you have it! What do you wear to the airport? I'd love to hear!

I love the tote bag but I try to take one that has the piece that fits over the handle of my rolling carryon. Makes it easier to get through airports if I don’t have to carry something on my shoulder and usually counts as a personal item that goes under my seat. We travel internationally quite a bit so I am always looking for ways to make it easier. Love the outfit!
That’s a great idea! I’m sure it makes traveling much easier. 🙂
Going through airport TSA is a drag. Don’t forget to wear easy on easy off shoes. Also I heard you can get pre-TSA passes. do you know where ?
Check out rareform. They’re recycled billboards. You can catch crazy sales (they’re pricey but so awesome) . I got a maya for my diaper bag and totes which are heavy duty for shopping.
I just buy them, no association or perks from them.
