12 Days of Christmas Baking: Buckeye Balls, Marshmallow Fudge, PB Balls, Christmas Crack, Peppermint Fudge & More!
If you missed my FB live you can watch it here.
W.H.E.W.
Y'all, I finally gave in yesterday and realized I wasn't Wonder Woman.
You're shocked.
I know.
Me.
too.
Hmph. 😂
As I shared last week, we're having some small renovations on our house, which I really keep thinking shouldn't affect anything at all, but the truth is it does.
Hopping on Facebook Live to share baking isn't quite as easy when there's hammering going on right outside, we've got three kids going three different directions all the time it feels like this year, and I just can't do it all.
To add a little to the stress around here, losing my husband's dad a few months ago just adds some ache this Christmas season, and his mom is struggling with dementia pretty severely too.
And while all that doesn't feel like it should affect the daily stuff for us right now, it sure affects the heart around in home and just hurts a wee bit deeper this season too.
(If you're going through a difficult season, my heart is with you right now ~ I know we're sooooo not alone and the Christmas season seems to magnify the good AND bad this time of year!)
Plus, we have a senior in high school this year.
So there's that.
(You know the “I-wish-I'd-done-it-all-better-and-now-he's-almost-gone-and-have-I-even-prepared-him-at-all?)
(ahem.)
So last night I took off my cape. 🙂
Pulled on my apron.
And finished the last few days of our Christmas baking series all at one time.
I hope you understand.
I was even completely un-Pinterest worth and only snapped one measly pic.
(See the cute pics in this post? All but one are from last year's Christmas baking series, but I promise most of packages looked almost as cute this year. *Almost.*) 🙂
I know.
You're horrified.
I get it.
But that's all you're gonna get around here.
If you'd like our 12 Days of Christmas Baking Cookbook, you can download your FREE 12 Days of Christmas Baking Cookbook and Grocery List HERE.
You can make all sorts of yummy treats just like I did, pass them around to friends or neighbors, and enjoy some special family time if your family loves baking like ours does.
Or.
You can just go buy a box of full priced Oreos pre-dipped in White Chocolate, and call it done too. 🙂
No judgement here.
Either way, enjoy the magic of the small moments this Christmas season, and determine to let the rest go.
Be gracious with yourself, choose to focus on the stuff that really matters, and be sure to eat some chocolate for me too.

Laurie— it is the most wonderful time of the year and yet at the same time the most overwhelming time of the year! Be kind to yourself. I think as women we are all so driven to produce a “ perfect” Christmas for our loved ones and yet life isn’t perfect, so I take a deep breath and ask God to show me what I should focus on and simply do what I can a and let the rest go…. take time to just savor the small things….
I for one have so appreciated all have you have put out there for all of us this Christmas season! I loved coming home after work Orr and watching the cooking baking videos. Thank you so very much for your kind words Kerry – that means so much to me! I really do love the PPP community, and feel so very blessed by YOU. Thank you for your sweet encouragement not to stress over perfect but to focus on what matters – I needed that today!

Good heavens, give yourself some GRACE! It is more important to focus on your life and family during the Christmas season. I enjoy watching your videos but if we need to see how-to make the baking items we could watch some of last year’s. Enjoy and cherish your time with your family!
