Valentine's Day Red Velvet Cake Mix Cookies
I love making these red velvet cake mix cookies for Valentine's Day because they're so easy to whip up in less than 20 minutes, even with my little eager helpers! These cake-mix cookies have a soft, chewy texture, vibrant red color, and a creamy white chocolate heart topper. Yum! 😍
So, grab that cake mix and get baking—because nothing says “I love you” quite like a batch of homemade cookies! Check out the recipe below:
Ingredients:
- Hershey's Cookies ‘n' Cream Hearts
- Red Velvet Cake Mix
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 Cup Oil
If you haven't made cake mix cookies before, you should know that you will NOT be following the recipe on the back of the cake mix box. Instead, follow along for new instructions!
- Start by preheating your oven to 350°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent the cookies from sticking.
- Dump the cake mix, 1/3 cup of oil, and two eggs into a mixing bowl and mix until everything is combined. (You can stir by hand or use a mixer.)
4. Roll the cookie dough into balls, or use a cookie scoop, using about 1.5 Tablespoons of cookie dough per cookie.
5. Bake the cookies at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
6. Take them out of the oven and as they're cooling on the baking sheet, add a Hershey's cookies ‘n' creme heart to the center of each cookie. Don't worry, the chocolate will melt a little bit, gluing the chocolate to the cookie top!
6. Let the cookies and white chocolate cool completely before serving!
If you want to get extra festive, you can add some red or pink sprinkles in the dough for an extra pop of color and fun! These cookies would be perfect for a class party or a Galentines treat.
We just love how effortless and yummy these cookies are – and we love grabbing cake mixes when they go on sale for super-cheap (Think 99¢) Check these other cake mix cookie recipes on our blog to get more fun ideas:
