How do you make cookies from cake mix?
This couldn't be any easier! A typical cake mix cookie recipe is really just dump, mix, bake and eat. Our cake mix cookie recipe only calls for 4 ingredients too, so you likely will have everything already in your pantry.
Ingredients for cake mix cookies:
- white cake mix
- eggs
- vegetable oil
- mix-ins
- sprinkles
- chocolate candies
- chocolate chips
What kind of cake mix do you use for a cake mix cookie recipe?
For this recipe we're using a white store bought cake mix, but you could definitely use a yellow cake mix or chocolate cake mix and not go wrong. I bet you could even use one of our homemade yellow or chocolate cake mixes as well! If you're feeling like Spring, you could give a lemon or strawberry cake mix a try. They would both be delicious with white chocolate chips or candies!
You could use this for Fall and use a spice cake with white chips, or try something a bit more decadent using a chocolate cake mix with three different types of chips (maybe even peanut butter chips). YUM! You can absolutely use your imagination for this recipe and create limitless combinations.

Drop dough with a cookie scoop or tablespoon onto some parchment paper and set them on the cookie sheet. Preheat the oven to 350, and then then bake for about 10-12 minutes.
Cool them on a cooling rack until they come to room temperature. Try not to eat those candies right off the top, hehe!
