DIY Teacher Survival Kit Gift
If you're looking for a way to show your appreciation for your kids' teachers – these Teacher Survival Kits are the way to go! Filled with small necessities teachers actually need and want, these DIY kits are the perfect gift.  These are PERFECT as a welcome back to school or teacher appreciation day gift.
I've linked everything below so you'll have plenty of time to snag these goodies ahead of time. You can make multiples of this adorable survival kit if your kids have lots of teachers, or make just one – they're so easy to create!
Now, teacher gifts have become a bit of a norm these days, but this is your reminder that you should absolutely NOT bust your budget on gifts! If funds are tight, consider having your kids write a note to their teacher with things they love about them instead of purchasing a gift. I promise, your teacher will appreciate it just as much!Â
Heads up! We now have a Teacher Sticker Book which is the the perfect addition to a gift!

Supplies for Teacher Survival Kit
There are so many things teachers would appreciate in this kit! Here's what I included in mine:
- Clear plastic pouch (these come in tons of colors and quantities. You can grab a 4 pack for just under $14, making these $3.50 per pouch)
- Hand Sanitizer spray (this was a little pricey but comes in a pack of 12 so you can have them on hand for future gifts)
- Liquid IV packs
- Emergen-C (on account of all the germs from our kids!)
- Chapstick
- Sticky note pad
- Our favorite pens!
- Gum
- Individually wrapped snacks
- Candy
- A thank you note
Note: if you're shopping for a lot of teachers, head to bulk stores like Costco or Sam's first to get the most bang for your buck!
How to make a DIY Teacher Survival Kit Gift
I added a few cute touches like ribbon around the pens and then packed everything into the clear pouch. I love how you can see everything from the outside but in such a cute way! These pouches are a great size for the teachers to re-use after for traveling, or to re-stock with their own favorite goodies each year.
Finally, I finished off each completed kit with a ribbon. I found the PERFECT teacher-themed ribbon at Hobby Lobby! You can also grab it online here. I just love how it ties the whole gift together.
