Looking for new, CUTE ways to decorate pumpkins this season? Check out these EASY ideas!

Mess-Free Pumpkins!
If you’re anything like me, you’ll do just about anything for your kids… except carve pumpkins. The mess, the slimy insides, the smell… hard pass. But at the same time, you still want to be the “fun mom” who makes Halloween magical. That’s why I came up with two super easy, no-carve pumpkin ideas. They’re cute, festive, and way less messy, so you can enjoy the fun without dreading the cleanup!
1. Pressed Flowers with Mod Podge
You’ll need:
- pumpkins (real or faux)
- pressed flowers (these ones are from Amazon!)
- Mod Podge
- foam brush/paintbrush
- clear acrylic spray (optional)
Steps:
-
Wipe down your pumpkin so it’s clean and dry.
-
Brush a thin layer of Mod Podge directly onto the pumpkin where the flower will go.
-
Gently press the flower onto the glue and smooth it down carefully.
4. Brush another light coat of Mod Podge over the top of the flower to seal it.
5. Repeat with as many flowers as you like until your pumpkin is covered.
6. Let dry completely. (Optional: spray with clear acrylic sealer for extra protection.)
Now you have a dreamy, botanical pumpkin with a natural, cottage-core vibe!
2. Temporary Tattoo Pumpkins
You’ll need:
- pumpkins (real or faux)
- Halloween temporary tattoos (I have 3 girls, so I chose these pink tattoos from Amazon)
- damp sponge or cloth
- clear acrylic spray (optional)
Steps:
-
Clean your pumpkin’s surface so it’s smooth and dry. (I used real ones, but you could totally do fake pumpkins and re-use them next year!)
-
Cut out your temporary tattoo design.
3. Peel off the clear protective sheet and place the tattoo facedown on the pumpkin.
4. Hold a damp sponge or cloth over the tattoo for 30–60 seconds, until the paper slides away.
5. Carefully peel back the paper and admire your tattooed pumpkin!
6. Continue applying tattoos until your design feels complete.
7. Let dry, then (optional) spray with clear acrylic sealer to protect the designs.
Now you have a fun, modern pumpkin with crisp designs! Perfect for kids or a quick, mess-free option!
So get to crafting, because Halloween doesn’t have to mean carving pumpkins and scrubbing seeds off your kitchen floor!
