Belt bags are so on trend right now and are a perfect hands-free bag. Here's how to wear a fanny pack belt bag with style!
How to Wear a Fanny Pack
Like so many other 1980s and 1990s fashion accessories, the fanny pack is BACK in style! I guess we've all reached an age where we realized those fanny pack-wearin' moms were on to something back in the day and our hands are FULL and in need of an easy, wearable solution. But, if you're not sure how to wear a fanny pack (now also called a belt bag) and still look cute and trendy – we've got you covered!
Laura's got some tips for styling your fanny pack belt bag below.
How to Wear a Crossbody Bag
Probably the most popular belt bag on the market right now is the Lululemon Everywhere bag. While this high end bag is cute, it can be on the pricey side! We found some awesome alternative and more cost-effective options on Amazon that have the look of Lulu without the price tag.
The main draw of these fanny pack belt bags is the crossbody strap. Slip the bag over your shoulder and wear it with the bag close to your chest. Great for easy access to keys, phone, and wallet while you're on the go!
I found this great option on Amazon that has tons of little pockets and compartments but is super lightweight. It is a GREAT price at under $8. It comes in 14 different colors so you can grab a few to color coordinate your outfit!Â

If you can't or don't want to wear your belt bag in a crossbody style, you can definitely style with a more traditional fanny pack look on move it around your waist!
I am quite hippy so I was a little worried wearing it around my waist might look goofy or make me feel self conscious. But I'm happy to report that both the crossbody and waist styling look cute on anyone!
Grab this fun fall Mom ‘Fit
My mission this fall is to find some staple clothing pieces I can wear on the go and feel comfortable in – without looking *too* comfortable. When I grabbed this cute belt bag I also snagged these two pieces and I know I will be LIVING in them all season!
This tunic is SO soft and comfortable! I needed something to cover my bum in leggings and this is long enough to do that. For reference, I am 5'8″ and ordered a size XL. It has enough room to move around in without looking baggy.
I paired this tunic with these amazing faux leather leggings. I have tried a few different faux leather leggings from Amazon over the years that claimed to be a great substitute for Spanx at a low low price and unfortunately ran into a “you get what you pay for” situation every time. This pair is a little bit more than I have spent in the past but I am incredibly pleased with them.
I did size up in these leggings based on previous faux leather pairs I've tried (they always seemed to fit like Ross wearing his leather pants on Friends) and I'm glad I did. I love the slight sheen they have to add a little more jazz to my outfit than my normal workout leggings.
My shoes are Time and Tru from Walmart – a “Chunky Jogger” and I'm just tickled by that name! These are super comfy and the trendiest tennis shoes I've worn in a long time.
I'm feeling CUTE with my new fall mom ‘fit and belt bag!
