Join us on May 2nd for Freezer Friday! We'll be using freezer recipes from our Freezer Menu Expansion Pack.Â
Y'all, this is the perfect time to take an hour and fill your freezer for all of those busy weeknights that always seem to pop up during the school year! These recipes are some of our favorites..and they're so much tastier than eating out – not to mention better on the budget, too!
Grab your grocery list from the Freezer Menu Expansion Pack Week 14 (or add the items to your cart Grocery by PPP!) – and let's get cooking!
Here's what we'll be making this week:
- Asian Sesame Chicken Salad
- Black Bean Enchilada Casserole
- Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
- Barbacoa Bowls
- Blueberry French Toast with Vanilla Glaze
- Frosty Strawberry Squares
If you haven't tried out Freezer Cooking before, this is the perfect way to stock your freezer with easy meals for busy nights. Here are a few people who would benefit from a freezer meal or two if you have tie to make one:
- college students (divide them into a few containers and send them off with multiple meals!)
- new moms
- aging parents
- a friend who's just had a rough day
- an easy vacation meal
- yourself on a busy weeknight
- honestly any person who just needs a break from cooking for a night or two
There's nothing better than pulling out a home cooked meal from the freezer.Â
Here's everything else you need to know:
- We'll go live on Facebook next week between 9 and 10 AM Eastern Time
- All the recipes are part of the PPPÂ Freezer Expansion Menu Plans! You can also get the PDF files HERE
- You can test out a FREE sample of our menu plans right HERE at the top of the page
- The next Freezer Friday will be August 1st and the last one for the year will be November 7th. Stay tuned to find out what recipes we will be making!
I hope this inspires and encourages you to get dinner made for your family, and can't wait to see your success. I'm cheering for you!
I bought the crockpot boxes on pdf. I was going to print them as I used them. Problem my printer died before I could print even 1. Is there anyway to pay the difference and get the boxes.
Hi Kristie! So sorry to hear your printer went out before the printing was done. Please reach out to shop@passionatepennypincher.com and they can better assist you. Hope that helps! 🙂
I have already purchased the freezer menu box and the expansion pack and the bag stands – is there any way to get the printable that comes with this new bundle?
It should have been emailed to you. If may have went to your spam or junk folder. If you can’t find it, please email us at shop@passionatepennypincher.com and we’ll get it sent right out to you! 🙂
Bridgett, did it automatically go out to everyone? I have both freezer plans and must have missed the printable. Or do we need to request it?
Thanks.
I just bought a couple sets but I’m a pescatarian. Is there any chance you will make a vegetarian set?? I would love that.
We will keep that suggestion in mind for the future Jennifer!
I’m sorry to be old school but I couldn’t find where to watch the replay. Signed up and got the preview 30 minutes before. But couldn’t find the actual video.
No worries! You can find it here! https://passionatepennypincher.com/freezer-meals/?fbclid=IwAR1K-UrLLr6I2BTUZkpGomIHgCVBYT1bVarY4V3tHO4SmlD3y24wj5MMHPk
Excited for freezer meals. Have you guys thought about a 2nd Freezer meals set? I would LOVE one.
We will definitely keep that in mind going forward!
hey Laurie your post above has week 4 starting May 14 and also reads week 2 same post further down in post.. Can you please confirm which week for sure? Thank you!
I have the Greek Style Pork Chops defrosting in the fridge while I’m at work – although I probably won’t cook them tonight because we have an away track meet that we probably won’t get home until after 11pm – love the freezer meals – kids love the salsa verde shredded pork.
So glad to hear that Michelle ~ hope you enjoy the pork chops! 🙂
Is there any chance you might start a Ninja Foodi or instant Pot tin?
We’ve thought about it… no guarantee for sure but you never know (I just struggle because I don’t personally use one very often!)
I love this recipe. @Michelle, I cook a ton of these crockpot recipes in my instant pot. The trick is to find out how long the meat needs to cook for. It isn’t always perfect, but there is always food on the table. Veggie like green beans need to wait to go in until the meat is cooked.
Ooh, how fun! I ordered the recipe tins a few months ago and haven’t made anything in them yet, so this will be great! I’m down to only one meal in my freezer cooking inventory, so it’s time to refill the freezer!
We would love for you to join us Ashley ~ yay! 🙂
Hi I bought the freezer meals probably a year ago and haven’t used them yet :(. I love them but I’ve never done meal planning before and over whelmed where to even start. Its just myself and my pre-teen son so I’m thinking 1 of these freezer meals would be 2 meals for us. I definitely would love to see this video tomorrow but I’m working during this time. Will they’re be a way to watch it after?
We will have the replay available to watch in our Facebook videos archive Stacie! 🙂
I just started following you on facebook but have come across a few of your videos already and watched them. So just missed this freezer friday today and can’t find the link anywhere. Why can’t I find what you did this morning?
Here’s the link to the video Tammy! 🙂 Welcome ~ we’re so very glad you’re here! –> https://www.facebook.com/108426075871875/videos/404251870999366
Just ordered my tin! I can’t wait to try these recipes!
Last time I did some freezer meals you put what we’d need for ziplocks and pans… so you know that by chance this time around too??
I have a dr appt @ 9am
Will your video be available to watch at later date?
I hope so!!
Thank you!
It sure will, Dee ~ the video will be available to watch whenever is convenient! 🙂 Hope that helps!
Is there anything we need to do ahead of time if we want to cook along with you? Cant wait!
Hi Sheila – I’m so glad you’re joining me! I went ahead and prepped my meat and pasta ahead of time – that will definitely help it go fast! You are going to LOVE this! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Ha. Ha. This is the ONLY week I’ve made myself already! It’s yummy! My teenage son’s favorite was the cheesy baked spaghetti (fried onions tipped the scale)! My husband loved the baked spaghetti and the taco inspired recipe. Cracker Barrel chicken was so easy my hubby got home first and put it in the oven for me! The pork tacos we delicious! We really loved all of them. I haven’t made any of the desserts as we aren’t big into sugar fixes BUT they sound amazing!
I’m making WEEK 8 freezer this week to stock up. Thank you PPP!
Way to go Lisa ~ so glad you were able to make those, and that they were a hit! 🙂 Great job!
Wish I could afford all the ingredients! Times are really tough right now for our family. I have all the recipes just cant wait to use them! They are so simple and easy to follow and sound amazing!
I purchased many of the items at Dollar Tree and Dollar General, then went to the grocery store. I was able to fix all 5 ( you could easily split at least 3 of them into 2 dinners each) of week 1 meals for $68. I pray things turn around for you and your family.
I bought the tin of recipes, but did you have them to where I can get them through email or somewhere on line also? Incase I’m outta town and want to make something from the tin of recipes ?
Yes Tracy! You should have gotten them in your email (check your spam folder) but if you don’t find them, send an email to shop@passionatepennypincher.com and we can resend!
I love freezer cooking love even more having freezer meals! Hopefully I can remember to get in on this
Yes! It’ll be so fun Belinda – I’d love to have you there!
I got most of the food items in my house and I am ready to go. Butterfinger cake is out. Just got my husbands blood sugar under control. Lol
