Easy Football “Brookies”

Have you ever had a brookie? It’s the heavenly combo of a brownie + cookie. I’ve never met a brookie I didn’t like, and these two-ingredient football brookies are no exception!

These tasty treats are perfect for game day snacks, tailgating treats, team parties, or impressing your football-loving friends with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Okay, so technically this isn’t a true two-ingredient recipe, but it’s as easy as it gets. All you need are two things from the store:

Your favorite boxed brownie mix (and any corresponding ingredients)
A package of these football cookie cutouts

Aren’t these new football sugar cookies SO cute? I’ve seen all the holiday cookies over the years but these are new to me – I just love them.

How to Make Football Brookies

Prepare the brownie mix according to the box instructions and pour the batter into a lined or greased pan.

Place the football cookie cutouts directly on top of the brownie batter before baking. I was able to fit 16 footballs on top!

Bake as directed for brownies. The cookies will bake right into the batter.

Let them cool, cut, and serve.

It’s that simple. The sugar cookies bake right into the top of the brownies for a festive, football-themed dessert that looks like you spent way more time than you actually did.

Pro Tip: When it’s time to slice, use a plastic knife. It sounds odd, but a plastic knife cuts through brownies without tearing, crumbling, or sticking to the gooey chocolate.
