Note: you can absolutely make your own chocolate pudding for this recipe and add it to small bowls. For ease, I'm using good old Snack Pack pudding cups!Â
How to make Carrot Patch Dirt Cups
Start by melting white chocolate according to package directions. Once melted, add in orange food coloring until it has reached your desired orange color. Dip the strawberries into the melted chocolate, covering all the way up as far as you can without getting the leaves. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and allow chocolate to harden. You can pop them in the freezer to expedite this process if needed.
Next, place about 10 Oreo cookies into a large Ziploc bag. Using a meat tenderizer or rolling pin, crush the Oreos into crumbs. You can remove the cream filling to have even “dirtier dirt”, but I love how these taste when I leave the filling in!
Top each pudding cup with Oreo crumbs until completely covered. Place one chocolate-covered strawberry onto each pudding cup and serve cold.
