Way back in 2009 when I started Passionate Penny Pincher (Publix Penny Pincher back then), I spent hours saving big using coupons, and couldn't wait to share my deals each day.
but then a few things changed.
TLC's Extreme Couponing started.
Printable coupons became more popular.
And it wasn't much later that coupon fraud was on the rise.
When first starting here I honestly had weeks where I fed our family of five for $40 using coupons. (It was so fun ~ goodness there's just nothing like that coupon-crazed-shopping-adrenaline high!)
But then.
My kids got bigger.
I got busier.
And way too often I just don't have time to coupon these days.
Honestly? I kind of miss that coupon-crazed-shopping-adrenaline high.Â
(I know. I need a life. jeesh.)
But I'm not yet convinced the deals aren't there.Â
I've seen people say that couponing is dead.
That it's just not worth it.
And honestly, so many of the places where you (PPP readers) seem interested in saving is online.Â
Which I totally, 100% get.
But. 🙂Â
Folks, let me tell you there are still deals to be had.
For. real.Â
Yesterday I went to CVS and picked up free deodorant.
And free shampoo.
And 49¢ toothpaste.
My little stockpile was screaming for more. 🙂Â
Then I grabbed 39¢ dish soap.
And super cheap toilet paper.
And hauled home a whole mess of bargain Brawny paper towels.
You know what?Â
I can still be a coupon rockstar. 🙂
And the deals really are still there.
Suc.cess. Â
So if you need to take control of your finances.
If you just can't manage to stay in your grocery budget.
I just want to encourage you that with a little work and research you can save big too.
You're welcome.

I promise, “extreme” couponing (ahem strategic shopping) isn't easy but it can still be worth it. If you feel overwhelmed by your finances I know this really can work, and you are the only one who has control of your finances, so determine to win in this area of your life.
You can download my printable guide with every thing you need to learn how to shop well at the drug stores over HERE right now for just 99¢ (regularly $3.99 – so this is a steal!), and I promise you can save big too.Â
(And, don't miss these 15 new Kraft coupons that just popped up today plus check out my video on Facebook explaining exactly how I scored all these deals too.)Â
Happy happy happy penny pinching! 🙂Â

I still use the colored coupons from Sunday papers & Red Plum use the coupon when store has product on sale. All the money saved is saved for specials Opera , movie or concert doesn’t have to worked into the budget. I only buy what I would normally purchase. No Kroegers or Publix in my area.

YES! I totally agree. I didn’t start couponing until 2012 and I have still score plenty of free and cheap stuff.
Whitney @ Come Home For Comfort says
I totally agree that the deals are still there! It’s fun to score one of those hauls, isn’t it? I get that adrenaline rush too. 🙂 I still clip coupons and shop with my binder – yep, I’m a binder girl. The continual increase of coupon fraud has made so many cashiers and stores terribly afraid of even scanning printable coupons that sometimes I almost lack the energy to coax them to “just try and scan it…” or to explain what the little numbers around my coupon actually mean. The deals are there – we just have to work for them! 🙂

So glad I’m not alone Whitney – thanks so much for sharing! 🙂
