I won an auction for Scanpan. it was a very good deal even with the shipping. But the transaction was canceled without any explanation or apology. In a few days the same pan was offered for auction again. So I called Sam’s Club customer service and they said that they don’t even know anything about Sam’s auction. just in case that first representative was the only one who didn’t want to help. I tried calling them about 3 time and they kept repeating that the auctions are not run by the retailer.
Oh no Irine – I hate hearing that! 🙁 Thank you for letting us know, hopefully that’s not typical (now I”m curious too!)
There are good deals at the auction site but remember to consider hefty shipping when bidding. I was very excited to win 3 bids last year but not so excited when my $3 deal (jel pens) had a $7 shipping fee.
Thanks for sharing Melissa – that’s good to know!
