Wondering what to expect in stores at Macy's on Black Friday?
Macy's will have doorbuster deals and sales on everything from clothes, shoes, and accessories to home essentials and furniture ~ something for everyone!
In the past, Macy’s doorbuster deals have been available from 5PM on Thanksgiving until 2AM on Black Friday, and again from 6AM until 1PM on Black Friday. But since Macy’s is starting the sale on Tuesday, November 24th, we might see those doorbuster deals go live that day as well.
The Macy's Black Friday sales will start earlier than ever…
Instead of starting their Black Friday deals on Friday, November 27th as usual, the sales will run for FIVE days ~ from Tuesday, November 24th through Saturday November 28th. In 2019, online Black Friday sales started a day earlier than the in-store sales. This year the sale dates will be the same, whether you’re shopping online, via the Macy's app, or in stores. This could mean that online Black Friday sales will start as early as 12:01AM on November 24th!
Wondering about Cyber Monday? The sales will run from November 29th-30th.
Macy's is closing it's doors on Thanksgiving (11/26)
In addition, Macy's just announced in a recent press release that they will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
And, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will be going virtual this year! For the first time in its more than 90-year history, the annual Macy’s Parade will be modified to bring the magic to more than 50 million viewers nationwide on Thanksgiving Day.
On Thursday, November 26th, from 9AM to noon on NBC, the celebration will shift to a television-only special presentation with a mix of giant character balloons, floats, street performers, clowns and the heralding of the holiday season with the one and only Santa Claus!
Will they still have Santa Claus at the New York City Macy's This Year?
No. Unfortunately due to the pandemic concerns, Santa Claus will not be at the Macy's New York City location for the first time in 160 years. Instead, Macy’s will be offering a free online experience on its website from November 27 to December 24. Families can play games, get a virtual tour of Santa’s workshop, and even take a selfie with Santa.
