Mummy Wafer Cookies
Halloween treats don’t have to be complicated to be fun. In fact, some of the simplest recipes end up being the biggest hit, and these mummy wafer cookies prove it. With just a few ingredients and a couple of minutes, you’ll have a festive snack that looks adorable and tastes even better.
They’re perfect for classroom parties, Halloween gatherings, or a cozy family movie night. My kids especially loved watching their little mummies “come alive” as we added the candy eyes and drizzled on the chocolate wrappings. By the time we curled up for a spooky movie, munching on our little mummies felt like the perfect treat to kick off Halloween season.
Ingredients:
- Strawberry wafer cookies (or any flavor you love)
- White melting chocolate
- Candy eyeballs
- Parchment paper
- Piping bag (or a zip-top bag with the corner snipped)
How to make mummy wafer cookies for Halloween
First, line your wafer cookies up on a sheet of parchment paper.
Heat your white chocolate according to package directions, then transfer it into a piping bag (or skip a step and just melt them right in the piping bag).
Next, pipe two small dots of chocolate near the top of each cookie and press candy eyeballs into place.
Finally, drizzle chocolate back and forth across the cookies to create the look of bandages. Let the chocolate harden completely, then your spooky mummies are ready to enjoy!
