Laundry Room Lint Bin
Hey there friends! Hannah here!
Since this week's Home Planner task is “organize your laundry room” I thought I'd share some things that helped me tackle this task this week.
I don't know about you, but our laundry room quickly turns into a dumping ground. With 3 kids and two cats, this space just gets the overflow from the chaos of our lives.
I knew I had to face my laundry room head on and organize it before my kids are out of school and the summer fun makes it messier! This space in our house is very narrow and quickly can feel like it's too overwhelming to even just put a load of laundry in the wash.
Here are some of our other favorite laundry room organizers!
One of my pain points was that lint seemed to always be covering the surfaces in the room. I found myself taking the lint out of the lint screen and just leaving in on top of the dryer until I could get it to a trash can. But often I was on auto-pilot and forgot the lint was there, adding to the clutter and ultimately it would fall to the floor.
Sometimes just having the right tool in the right spot solves a messy problem.
So I bought this lint bin, and I am SO happy with it!
It has a magnet on the back so you can put it right on your dryer, or it also includes hardware for mounting on a wall or cabinet. I have loved using it in my laundry room to keep my surfaces clear of lint and dust.
Another pain point? My laundry baskets.
I have been using my old laundry baskets that had broken handles for far too long. And they were all mismatching in size. It was time for a refresh. So, I bought this 6-pack of new laundry baskets that are a PPP team favorite.
And I gotta say, its just so nice to have new, functional baskets. It's the simple joys in life! 😉 I also really like the size of these, because they help me manage the size of each load I throw in the washer.
Now, if I could just get my laundry to do itself in my newly clean laundry room, I'll be in great shape!
