As we continue through the 2024 Lenten season, here are the BEST fish sandwich deals around town right now. Some of these are available year round, but some will only be here until the lenten season ends (with Easter – March 31 this year).
Here are the yummiest fast food fish deals we dug up!
Arby's Fish Sandwich Deals:
Arby's is hard to beat if you're looking for a meal! Arby's fish sandwich is on the 2/$6 menu right now – you can't beat a $3 sandwich in 2024!
The Crispy Fish is a panko-breaded white fish fillet with lettuce and tartar sauce ona sesame bun. They also have the KING Hawaiian Fish Sandwich this year. All of Arby's fish sandwiches are listed on their menu as “Here for a good time but limited time” so these may not be available once the lenten season is over.

Wendy's Fish Sandwich – Back for a limited time!
Okay – Business Insider actually said Wendy's fish sandwich is “shockingly good”. I've actually heard people say this is THE best fast food fish sandwich!
So if you are looking to upgrade your fish fry experience, this one might be worth trying, even though they aren't running any great deals at the moment (you can get a $3 off a $15 mobile order!)
Wendy's Fish Sandwich is available at restaurants now!
Last year they changed their recipe! Instead of the typical cod sandwich, they introduced a new Panko fish sandwich made with Alaskan Pollock. It went over well and this will be the same recipe they have this year. Most stores are selling this delicious sandwich for just under $6.
McDonald's Filet O Fish Deal:
McDonald's started their Filet O Fish sales back in the 1950's. They decided to test a breaded Whitefish to see if they could offer a cost effective solution for Christians during Lent.
The Filet O Fish went up against a Hula Burger – deciding whichever sold most would be added to the menu permanently. The Hula Burger sold 6 – the Filet o Fish sold 350. It was added permanently to the national menu in 1965.
McDonald's sometimes offers great deals on their Filet-O-Fish in the McDonald's app – and if you don't have the app you should get it! (Just show the coupon at the restaurant when available or use one of their curbside options).

Burger King Big Fish Sandwich Deals:
Burger King's Big Fish sandwich is normally $6.29 for the sandwich, or about $6.40 for the meal. (Last year they added the Big Fish Sandwich to their 2 for $6 lineup, but so far it doesn't look like it's included this year ~ we'll keep an eye out for any updates!).
- Big Fish Sandwich – $6.29
- Fiery Fish Sandwich Meal – $6.49
They also have a NEW sandwich this year – the Fiery Fish sandwich! This is the big fish sandwich with just a wee bit of spice added. It doesn't sound like it's off the charts spicy, so it might be fun to try! It is just a tiny bit more than the big fish – coming in at $6.49 for the sandwich.

Popeye's Fish Sandwiches and Shrimp:
Popeye's has several lenten friendly specials on their menu right now. They're one of the few restaurants that are fast food and also offer shrimp!
- Classic Flounder Fish Sandwich (Flounder fillet marinated in herbs and spices and served on a toasted brioche bun)
- Spicy Flounder Fish Sandwich (Flounder fillet marinated in herbs and spices and served on a toasted brioche bun)
- $6 Shrimp Tackle Box – 8 butterfly shrimp with a regular side, biscuit, and tartar sauce
Rally's / Checkers Fish Sandwich Specials
Great news! Rally's and Checkers have brought back their Deep Sea Double and Crispy Fish Sandwich. These both look SUPER delicious – have you tried them?
Here's what this crunchy Crispy Fish Sandwich features:
- Crispy Fish Fillet
- Iceberg Lettuce
- Tartar Sauce
- Toasted Sesame Seed Bun

Be sure to check out your local hometown restaurants too – there's a tiny little restaurant up the road that makes the BEST fish sandwich near me – and I never would have thought about them serving fish!

The Wendy’s Fish Sandwich was not up to my expectations and the hype. Big letdown in terms of taste and finish.

Bojangles has a delicious fish sandwich. Right now it is 2 for $6.00. One of the best I have ever eaten.
You left out Jack in the Boxes $4 combo.
Also left out is DQ, fish sandwich!
