Spring Centerpiece – Dollar Tree Style!
I recently took a trip to the Dollar Tree to look at the new Easter and spring items and was inspired to create my own affordable spring centerpiece! We have a small, round table in our breakfast nook so I try to avoid large or long centerpieces, but still want to dress it up a bit for holidays.
This centerpiece is SO easy and requires very little crafting (or none at all depending on your style!). It also took me less than 15 minutes to make, and was under $12 in materials.
I grabbed an unfinished wood crate (this is from the new Dollar Tree Plus section and was $3), some of these adorable stuffed carrots, and two faux hydrangea stems.
P.S. Walmart also has some of these fabric carrots right now in different patterns that are so cute! Along with a ton of other adorable Easter décor!
To change up the look of the crate, I started by using some antique wax I had in my craft supply stash. I love this stuff – it dries quickly! You could also use wood stain, acrylic paint, or leave it unfinished if you like the light wood style.
Here's the “after” on my crate. I like the darker, rustic look!Â
Then, I just popped my carrots in, as if I just picked them from the farm!
Finally, I took the flowers off so the stems wouldn't add extra bulk and placed them around the carrots.
All set! A quick and easy assembly and an adorable outcome. I love that it is low profile and will be easy to move around to clean. You could also use this spring centerpiece for parties, Easter gatherings, or add it into shelf décor!
