Dollar Tree Dress-Up Trunk
Here's a really fun idea for a gift!
If you know a little one who loves imaginative play and dress up – this might be a perfect project for you…. Right now Dollar Tree has some adorable costume pieces for only $1 . (I mean TONS of skirts, headbands, ninja gear and accessories!) If you load up now before they sell out, you can create a dress up trunk they'll treasure.
Place the costumes in a trunk or storage ottoman and you've got a really special gift for a daughter, niece, or granddaughter for Christmas or birthdays.
You could easily get away with spending just about $25 on this project – if you were to buy 10-12 Dollar Tree costume pieces and a small storage trunk for around $12. (See the end of the post for one very inexpensive storage option!)
Here are just a few examples of Dollar Tree costumes you can find right now in stores – but they won't be there for long!
How about a super cute unicorn costume?!! I love the headband!
Halloween Hats, boas and masks can make anything into a costume!
This Bumblebee costume is just super cute!
I'm loving the wings on this ladybug costume! This would be so fun for dress up as a polka dot fairy or any other imaginative creature too 🙂
For the battle-ready boy…. Look at all these ninja costume accessories – what a fun set to stash into a costume trunk.
Ottoman / Storage Trunks
Once you have lots of fun and inexpensive costume supplies – you just need a little storage ottoman to stuff them in…..
If you happen to use this idea as a Christmas gift this year, be sure to let us know how it goes!
