Costco members! If you're headed to the warehouse, make note of these new Costco purchase limits on toilet paper, paper towels, and more.
Costco Purchase Limits – Back Again
Heads up Costco members!
Costco is once again bringing back purchase limits on household essentials such as toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, and bottled water. 🙁 This time it's not because there's not enough merchandise, but because of delivery delays caused by shortages of trucking and delivery needs.
In fact, Costco warned customers this week that it was having trouble fulfilling toilet paper orders. A financial guru said that if Costco is starting to limit these items, other retailers will too.
Here's what the CFO of Costco said recently during an earnings call –
“Now they’ve got plenty of merchandise but there’s two- or three-week delays on getting it delivered because there’s a limit on short-term changes to trucking and delivery needs of the suppliers, so it really is all over the board.”
Wondering what the limit is on these items? Well, I visited my local Costco warehouse recently and called my store to follow up and was told that the limit is ONE per membership.
- Toilet Paper – limit 1
- Paper Towels – limit 1
- Bottled Water – limit 1
- Select Cleaning Supplies – limit 1
Have you spotted these limits at Costco or other stores too?
