Christmas Caprese Salad on white plate

Christmas Caprese Salad

Want to impress your family and friends at your next holiday get together? Bring THIS. You can take a regular ole caprese salad and make it *festive* in just one easy step. This Christmas Caprese Salad is SO pretty and tastes divine! The red, white, and green in this salad look so vibrant, and the flavors are refreshing with a little zing from the balsamic.

Caprese salad in pretty much any form is one of my favorite appetizers and I just love how downright MERRY this version is! Plus, it’s so easy to make and is sure to be the hit of the evening.

Here’s how to make Caprese Salad with a Christmas Twist:

Ingredients for Christmas Caprese Salad

Caprese Ingredients

  • 1 package mozzarella pearls
  • 2 cups of halved grape tomatoes
  • 1 bunch of fresh sliced basil
  • Balsamic vinegar or balsamic glaze
  • Olive oil
  • Salt

How to assemble this salad:

To turn this caprese into a Christmas wonderland, we’re going to transform our mozzarella pearls into Christmas trees.

First, grab this Christmas tree silicone mold. This mold is so fun and can be used for so many purposes like cute candies, cookies, and more.

Preheat your oven to 350°. Next, press one mozzarella pearl into each Christmas tree slot. You might need to smoosh the cheese down a little.

Place the tray of cheese into the oven and bake for about 4 minutes to melt the cheese slightly so it forms to the Christmas tree shape. Allow the cheese to cool before removing it from the mold.

Finally, prepare the tomatoes and basil as you normally would for a Caprese salad. Halve the cherry tomatoes and slice the basil into thin strips.
