After years of playing the ink game this is what I learned. Printers are priced absurdly low because the companies make their money off of the ink. I went laser. One toner cartridge which you can usually find as off brand really cheap (like $15-20 cheap) and they laser about 3000 pages. You only get black and white but printing centers on/ off campus can do color. I bought a simple Dell laser ~10yrs ago and it’s still working but recently at work I had them get me something like this

Plus ever tried printing a b/w doc only to get the cyan ink is out (so nothing will print)
