I love the arched cab post and have been looking forever and also I love cane/rattan BUT I NEED WALNUT colored-my floors are dark brown/walnut….so the natural light wood looks wrong and black is too dark…HELP, I am obsessed with arched furniture and cane….please let me know of anything under $1000…..

You can always use a gel stain to get to walnut. It’s so simple and no stripping needed. You don’t really have to sand anything but I probably would lightly. It’s mini wax gel stain. Love it used it on my very old kitchen cabinets. Still looked like wood instead of using paint.
Get the lighter color and use gel stain in walnut. That stuff works beautifully on any surface. Then use a good poly seal or satin lacquer.
