salmonella recall may 2026

Major Salmonella Recall Affects Pizza, Snacks, Chocolate

Heads up, friends! The FDA has announced as widespread recall due to the risk of Salmonella contamination and it is affecting frozen pizzas, chips, trail mix, chocolate and more.  The recall is due to a bulk powdered milk that is used in many seasonings and snack products. The milk powder itself was recalled back on April 30th for the possibility of salmonella presence, but we’re now learning more about what foods might have been affected. In fact, this recall just today made it to the FDA’s “Major Recalls” page which means there are significant downstream effects due to how many products use this recalled ingredient.

Here’s what to check for in your freezer and pantry – we’ll be adding to this list as we learn more.
