Walking S'mores
If you love Walking Tacos, you are totally going to love this fun treat – Walking S'mores! This dessert is such a happy twist on classic s'mores (graham cracker sandwich, chocolate, and a nice roasted marshmallow) but is great for a crowd, packing up for camping, or helping little hands who might not be ready for a full s'more.
The possibilities are endless for this dessert – your family will love creating their own little concoction! Here's how to make this sweet treat:
What do you need for Walking S'mores?
Although you can easily walk around with a regular s'more, what makes these “walking” is a small baggie that holds all your goodies and is eaten with a fork. Here's what you'll need:
- Marshmallows (full size for roasting)
- Snack pack graham crackers like Teddy Grahams for traditional s'more taste (you can usually find some good deals on bulk sizes on Amazon!)
- Other fun snack packs – I used the Fudge Stripe cookies and they were so good! You could also use Oreos, chocolate chip cookies, vanilla wafers, etc. – remember the possibilities are endless!
- Chocolate chips – I used milk chocolate and threw in some peanut butter chips for extra fun! Grab whatever flavor you like.
- Disposable forks and skewers (I love these telescoping roasting sticks so you can stay far back from the flames)
How to make walking s'mores dessert
Start by picking your snack pack and chocolate add-ins. Mix them up inside the bag.
Then, roast 1-2 marshmallows to your desired doneness. Put the roasted marshmallows directly into the snack bag. Using a fork or your hands on the outside of the bag, mix the contents up a little to combine. Enjoy with a fork!
Tips
These walking s'mores are not ideal for preparing ahead of time so plan to eat these right away after roasting the marshmallow. Because the marshmallow gets nice and melty, it does get sticky pretty quickly as it cools so plan to eat while warm.
