Who needs a drive thru when you can make these in 10 minutes at home?!Â
Here's how to make these Big Mac Smash Tacos without a Blackstone:
Ingredients Needed:
For the Smash tacos:
- 1 lb ground beef, divided into four 1/4 lb sections
- 6″ flour tortillas
- American cheese slices
- Shredded Lettuce
- Dill Pickle Slices
- Minced Onion
- Salt & Pepper
For the Big Mac Sauce:
- Mayo
- Dijon mustard
- White Vinegar
- Sweet pickle relish
- Grated white onion
- Salt
- Paprika
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
How to Make Smash Tacos:
Start by mixing up your homemade Big Mac sauce. In a small bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients and mix well. Set aside.
Next, divide your ground beef into four 1/4 lb balls. Place one ball onto a tortilla and press down until the patty covers almost all of the tortilla. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Heat a cast iron skillet on medium heat until hot. Add 1-2 patties meat side down onto the skillet and press. Note: I don't have a grill press so I improvised and used a potato masher which worked great!Â
Cook 5-7 minutes, making sure the edges of the tortilla don't burn. Flip, and add a slice of American cheese. Cook an additional 2-3 minutes.
Finally, top with minced onions, lettuce, pickle slices, and 1-2 tablespoons of Big Mac sauce. Enjoy!
Toppings for Big Mac Smash Burger Tacos:
These Smash Tacos are so good with the Big Mac sauce but you could certainly use more traditional Ketchup and Mustard instead!
The minced onion, lettuce, and pickles really give the taste of a Big Mac. You can omit any of these toppings or add tomatoes, change up the cheese, etc. This would also be so tasty with a garlic aioli sauce too.

I made these and they were amazing! But my tortillas did burn some. Advice on how to prevent that next time?

So glad you liked them!! Keeping the heat at medium helps so much because of how quickly the tortilla can brown. Hope this helps!
