I really don’t like to leave negative reviews, BUT here I am. I am new to PPP. I recently bought the 2025 home planner and I’m very excited to use it. I am intrigued by the recipe sets, so I thought I would give some of the recipes on the blog a try before I buy the recipe cards. This was the first recipe I tried. I was a bit skeptical combining ranch flavors and pesto together, but was hoping to be pleasantly surprised. I am here to tell you this flavor combination not only wasn’t pleasing, it’s almost like the flavors cancelled each other out. It was so awful that we didn’t eat it. The next morning I fed it to my chickens and they wouldn’t even eat it. I think part of the problem is that pesto isn’t supposed to be cooked, rather just warmed up. IF I were to ever try something like this again, I would leave the pesto out and just add it at the end for the last 15 minutes. I will keep testing out your other recipes but next time I think I will trust my intuition! I hope that my review will help someone else without causing harm to PPP because that is not my intention! Thank you for posting recipes.
We so appreciate your honest feedback, Kathleen! We always love to hear our customer’s reviews of the recipes and how they adapt them to fit their own preferences. We can’t wait to hear what you think of the Home Planner and any other PPP recipes that you try! 🙂
