in Aldis there”s an 80ct box tall kitchen four flap which are just the same quality as the ones with string
those are the best.
80 bags for only 4.99 which is a wonderful price.

Why are trash bags in the U.S. so expensive? $.12 per bag is outrageous, even the $.07 seems to be very expensive. That the prices for 13 gallons (about 50 litres) trash bags? In Germany the most common trash bag size is 25 litres. Those trash bags are on a role with 30 trash bags. Such a trash bag role cost just 0.65 Euro in almost every grocery store (incl. tax), or 0.5462 Euro without VAT (19%). That's just 0.0182 Euro, or about $.023 (without VAT). Two 25 litres trash bags would cost about $0.046, that's about 60% less than the $.12 for a 50 litres trash bag in the U.S.
Not sure whether we have 50 litres trash bags. We have either 50 or 60 litres trash bags with drawstrings. I will look tomorrow in a grocery store what those trash bags costs here in Germany. Normally we don't have special sales or discounts on trash bags. The prices here are more like every day low prices and it wouldn't make sense to compare trash bag prices between different grocery chains. I guess even the most luxury upscale Edeka stores here in Germany sells the trash bags for the same price than Aldi do.
I don't understand why trash bags in the U.S. seems so expensive. Actually I would guess that the manufacturing costs of trash bags in the U.S. are a little bit lower than in Germany (lower energy and labor costs in the U.S.).
