Sam’s Club Vs. Costco Prices (Cooking & Baking Prices)

I’m hoping to make a Sam’s vs. Costco post at least once a month, because it’s so fun to see how they stack up!  Here are some deals I saw this morning while running into both stores.  I really feel like our local grocery stores have better sale prices on most of these items (especially when using coupons) but if you’re in a hurry this may help you decide where the best prices are at. It’s so important when grocery shopping to know what your basic best prices are, so you know when you’re finding a deal!

As always, when shopping these stores please go in with a budget in place (in case you haven’t heard that enough from us lately!) If you’ve found other deals that you’ve just loved at Costco or Sam’s Club, leave a comment to let us know what you think.

Sam’s – Walnuts 32 oz $12.66 or $.40 per ounce

Costco- Walnuts 48 oz $18.99 or $.40 per ounce

Costco-  Cream of Mushroom Soup 10 pk $6.73 or $.67 per can

WINNER = Costco (to compare, cream of chicken soup was $.27 at Publix in the ad ending today or is $.49 at Kroger after coupon)

Sam’s- Domino Sugar 10 lb bag $5.17

Costco- Dixie Sugar 10 lb bag $4.39

Sam’s- Gold Flour 10 lb bag $3.88 or $.38 per lb

Costco- Conagra Flour 25 lb bag $6.49 or $.26 per lb

Sam’s- 7 lb Powdered Sugar $4.26

Costco- 7 lb Powdered Sugar $4.29

Here are some items I noticed that were on sale at each store that both didn’t have, but I thought they’d be good to have on hand as your pricing them to other stores.

Sam’s- Carnation Evaporated Milk 8 pk $7.98 or $.99 per can (cheaper at Publix, Kroger and Target with their regular sales)

Costco- Swanson Chicken Broth 12 pk $6.59 or $.55 per can ($.49 at Kroger this week)

Sam’s- French’s Brown Gravy Packet 6 pk $4.28 or $.71 per pack ($.29 per pack at Publix right now)
