This is sooooooooooooooooo not true. It i just a BIG SCAM. For the 2nd time in a month I have tried to use this $5 off $25 Dollar General coupon. I have $25 of merchandise to purchase & when they see I have manufacture coupons, they refuse to let me use the Dollar General coupon. I told the manager that she is commiting fraud, and that it is false advertising. She said she doesn’t care & that if I have manufacture coupons that she refuses to let me use the Dollar General coupon. I told her there is even instructions to the cashier printed on the coupon how to ring it up & she says she doesn’t care. It’s just a BIG SCAM. I have also tried contacting corporate about this store twice now & they have yet to get back with me. So shoppers, Famly Dollar also has a $5 off $25 coupon all weekend, so go give them your support & money. At least they will let you use their own coupon.
I have heard that some people have had a difficult time using them both at Dollar General, however they ARE supposed to (and that’s what I’ve been told from DG managers. I hate that they’ve been so difficult for you Cheryl, and would definitely shop Family Dollar in your situation! (We just don’t have one nearby….. but that sounds like a great option and my bet is that the most of the prices would be pretty similar there as well!)
