You all know I love fluffing up my home. 🙂Â
And whether it's on a penny pinched budget or not, just taking a peek at beautiful DIY and decorating blogs makes me happy. (Although it does lend to a wee bit of jealousy . . . I'm working on that!) In my dreams one day I'll grown up and become an amazing DIY/home blogger, but for the meantime I'll keep sharing deals and living vicariously through these guys.
So, last week when I got a question from a reader about which were my favorite home decor blogs to follow, I knew I had to put together a list. A few of these are blogging friends I've made along the way, and many of them are ones I've found while perusing Pinterest but just keep coming back to. Here's a peek . . .
{Note that these are in alphabetical order – there's no way I could decide which one I love the most!}
1. Craftberry Bush
I heard Lucy from Craftberry Bush speak at the Haven Conference and started following her on Instagram, and goodness, every single picture she shares is AMAZING. She did a class on photography at the conference, and looking at her pictures make me want to up my photography skills so much!
2. Frugal Homemaker
I just love Christina from the Frugal Homemaker! She actually started years ago as a frugal blogger, but found that her DIY projects were getting more interest than deals, so she switched the entire purpose of her site.
I've had dinner with her and love seeing her amazing ideas, all on a penny pinched budget. The best part is that she truly is a frugal girl, so if you're looking for inexpensive ways to decorate your home, you'll want to follow her over HERE!
3. Less Than Perfect Life of Bliss
One of my favorite bloggers is Julie from Less than Perfect Life of Bliss. We met several years ago during a one-day conference at Unclaimed Baggage in Scottsboro, Alabama, and I've so enjoyed following her ever since. Her heart is so evident in her blog and her home, and I love keeping up with how she updates her home virtually!
Be sure to see the book she made for her son as he's heading off to college ~ I love this!Â
4. Liz Marie Blog
I also listened to a class from Liz Marie at Liz Marie Blog while at the Haven Conference, and goodness I just love her site! Everything she does is just beautiful, and it's been fun to follow her updates via Instagram. (The class I heard her speak at was on Instagram, be sure to follow her over there if you're not already!)
5. Magnolia Homes
I'm betting you've heard of Joanna Gaines from the HGTV show Fixer Upper, and it turns out she has a blog where she shows her recent designs too! I love the show and absolutely love flipping through the images on her site.
6. Nesting with Grace
I'm not even sure where I happened upon this blog, but I love all the updates over at Nesting with Grace.
7. Shanty 2 Chic
Shanty 2 Chic has a new show as well on HGTV, and I've followed them off and on via Pinterest for the last few years. I love seeing their DIY crafts, and am determined to make this DIY Barn Wood Planter one of these days.Â
8. Thistlewood Farms
My mom actually mentioned the site Thistlewood Farms to me years ago, but I didn't have much time to look closely at it until recently. When I was at the Haven conference though I met Kari Anne and she is so. stinkin'. cute. I only briefly said hello to her, but goodness I love visiting her website with so many beautiful ideas!
9. The Nester (also Nesting Place)
Of all the home blogs I've followed, The Nester is undoubtedly my favorite, and oh-so-often I hear the words “it doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful” (her tagline) ringing in my head when I'm working to fluff up our home. I love that she makes me feel like even just adding a little something special and quirky to my home really can be just right, and I how she can take a plain ordinary rooms and made it just gorgeous.
Reading her blog (and especially her book) have given me the courage to do things in our home that I normally would be kind of afraid to do. Check out her book over HERE, and be sure to keep up with her on her blog as well.Â
10. Young House Love
Guys, I looooooove (like really, love) the blog Young House Love. My neighbor back in Alabama mentioned to me that they'd linked to PPP as one of their money saving tips way back in 2011 (~squeal!~) but honestly at that time time I hadn't heard of them. (I'd been typing hard at my computer for two years with small kids back then, and never had time to look at home decor blogs!)
But as I found a little more time I'd check out their site as often as I could, and goodness, their homes are amazing. (Our last house in Kentucky was a smaller and not quite as pretty version of their current house, so I love seeing how they've transformed that space!)
Even though they're no longer blogging regularly, I love following them on Instagram and perusing their site for ideas when I have a minute or two – it's amazing what they've done in the midst of raising two babies!
So, there you have it! Are there any other home decor blogs that you just love to follow? I know there are so many beautiful ones out there – I'd love to hear which ones you love! I'd love for you to leave a comment to share. 🙂

I love your products. In 2025 I will choose the paper planner instead of the digital. The Digital is great, but I probably would do better with the change. Kudos to you all.

Laurie– I’m so honored to be included in this list! You are, by far, my favorite money-saving blog, as well as one of the most genuine bloggers I know! I hope someday we can see each other in person again!

Thank you so much Julie! You know I absolutely love following along with you on your site, and goodness it’s so fun to see what you do in your home! And I still love the white couch that I totally copied from you (although it does terrify most of the time…) We’ve made it a year though without any major mishaps and I still love it though – so love your site for wonderful ideas!

Love this! YHL is the only one of these I’ve heard of. They were my favorite DIY/decorating blog. Hopefully this list will help fill the void they’ve left. Thank you!

I think you’ll love these Jaime – I was so bummed like you when YHL stopped blogging (although I totally understand!) There are so so many good home decor blogs out there that I know I missed ~ it’s amazing what beautiful things people come up with (so fun to see!)
