Kroger Extra Deals (And How Much Fun It Is To Teach A Friend To Coupon)

One of my dearest friends from college is in town visiting, so last night we left the kids at home and headed out for a little couponing in action. (She’d seen the show on TV, but couldn’t believe coupons would beat her everyday low price at Wal-mart.) I have never, ever, laughed so hard in my entire life as we sat in the pouring down rain trying to find three blessed $2/1 Wisk coupons (which literally took us almost 20 minutes thanks to my inability to keep up my coupon binder lately . . .), only to find that Kroger had sold out of all that Wisk long before we got there.

And, trying to explain to a coupon newbie what doubling a coupon actually means? Well, let me just tell you that it was all I could do not to pee in my pants in the middle of the cleaning supply aisle at Kroger trying to explain the serious value of a double coupon. (You know how it goes once you start to giggling? And then you can’t stop? Marce and I were in for a rough night!) Here’s what I decided: Everybody needs at least one friend in the world that can get them laughing that hard over a double coupon . . . I think I might have two or three of those kinds of friends; I’m a lucky girl indeed. Thanks Marce for a fun night on the town. 😉 (Tomorrow I’m teaching her how to shop at Publix . . . )
