My TOP Pick are these Union Bay Delaney Stretch Patch Pocket Shorts. They're a lower raise and I'm wearing a Size 13 in Juniors (I'm normally a women's 10) They're loose on me but I wanted the extra length that sizing up afforded me.
These STRETCH and have cute pockets and aren't tooo short. I feel youngish but still covered up (definitely better for those who are shorter however)

My NEXT pick are these Union Bay Vintage Boyfriend Shorts. These are mid-rise with a 4″ inseam and I'm wearing a Size 11 in Juniors (I'm normally a women's 10) These have NO stretch but are nice and comfy (with room for a muffin top) – mom body approved!
I love the vintage fade and the carpenter detail. The big pockets on the back are flattering and the slight flare at the hem keeps them from being tight on bigger thighs.

Okay and if you made it this far you deserve to see the shorts that DIDN'T work…. I tried on these and they were very weird on my body type.
The LC Lauren Conrad Super-High Waist Laguna short SEEMED like they'd be perfect. They were giving sailor vibes, they're stretchy, they have some flare in the thigh which I like…. but they just looked WEIRD on me!
Part of it is probably that I have a short torso, and part of it was (well maybe mainly) was the small, high back pockets. Because they were placed up high, and my bottom was still where it normally is… it made it look saggy. And because the pockets were LITTLE it made my rear look BIGGER.
But if you are a different body type than me I'd LOVE to hear you how you liked them because the reviews are great and I really wanted to love them myself!

Which color is Jamie wearing?
This is a color they had last year but not this year – it was called Medium Distressed Wash – but it seems very close to the “Coastal” color that’s available currently!
Thanks for sharing these deals! It’s just too bad us plus size peeps don’t get the same deal as standard sizes from some of these stores. I love Kohls for a lot of things (Jumping Bean!!) but their plus department is a bummer.
