What is a classic alfredo sauce made from?
Our alfredo sauce uses cream cheese while a typical sauce is made from heavy cream. We still use the butter and parmesan cheese to give the sauce a classic flavor. You can add in extra garlic, onions, or Italian seasoning as your family prefers.
Can you freeze alfredo sauce?
YES! You can safely freeze alfredo sauce for up to 3 months in your freezer. Beyond that point, the texture may be different, so be sure to label it once you freeze. Just be sure to use an air-tight, freezer safe container.
How long does homemade alfredo sauce last in the fridge?
If you'd like to make this sauce in advance, you can store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

I’m not 100% sure as we haven’t tried that yet ourselves but this recipe might help! –> https://ourlittlebitofearth.com/homemade-alfredo-sauce-and-how-to-can-freeze-it/

Should I make a double batch of this sauce when making it for the chicken pesto tortellini recipe?
Madison ~ PPP Team says
The Chicken Pesto Tortellini recipe calls for 2 jars of alfredo sauce, so I definitely recommend doubling the sauce!
